Ailesbury Clinic - Medical Aesthetics Clinic in Ireland

Ailesbury Clinic

David Lloyd Riverview (Ist Floor), Beech Hill Rd. Clonskeagh, Dublin, D04 AF10
Rating from 23 Reviews My experience was very goodKeith, Ireland, 24 Apr 16

I have a severe skin allergy and went to this clinic after recommendations online. I realised when I got there, that's it's more of a cosmetic clinic, but Dr Treacy was very helpful and informative. I've recently become allergic to a chemical which is in most footwear worldwide, and in all types of plastic and rubber. It's been life changing and very stressful, as I can't always tell whether something I'm touching is hazardous to me. I find out within minutes if it is, as my skin rashes up quickly, and if I don't remove this immediately, my skin starts to blister and die. So I needed to know as much as possible about my condition, as the stress of it all, has now aided in the loss of hair from numerous parts of my body. All in all a very trying time. There's only so much that Google can tell me lol. My experience was very good. The Dr gave me plenty of options going forward, and even gave treatment on the spot, and explained the whole process and what will happen in time. Overall I was very impressed, and will return. I am not sure yet about the fees going forward, I will find out that soon, but initial consult was 100euro, which gave me about 40 minutes consult, including blood tests and steroid injections and plenty of info on my problem. So I was extremely happy with the cost. Going forward will surely be expensive, depending what treatment I decide to take, but you are not pressurised into anything and can choose whichever treatment you wish, if any. Well worth seeing Dr Treacy, at least for initial consultation, to give you options.

Mole Removal €100 - €350
Moles are very common. They may be flat or elevated. Sometimes they grow hairs. The most important feature however is pigmentation – a brown discolouration of the overlying skin. When should you be suspicious of a mole?Recent appearance of pigmentationPigmentation that becomes darkerItching or irritationBleedingGrowth in size especially a growth spurtA mole which was once flat becoming raised. If you are concerned about the above or any other changes you should consult with Ailesbury. Histology done at St. Vincents University Hospital.  The majority of skin lesions can be treated in a relatively simple manner. This entails surgical excision under local anaesthesia. Therefore the assessment and excision can frequently be performed at the initial consultation. If a skin cancer is suspected a diagnostic biopsy may have to be performed at the initial consultation. The treatment is completed as soon as the report is available. If the lesion has a completely benign appearance there is no need to request laboratory analysis. Therefore apart from skin cancers the treatment can frequently be completed on a single visit.
Skin Tag Removal €100 - €350
Skin tags are common, acquired, benign skin growths that look like a small piece of soft, hanging skin. Skin tags are harmless growths. Some individuals may be more prone to tags (greater than 50-100 tags) either through increased weight, in part combined with heredity, or other unknown causes. Males and females are equally prone to developing skin tags. Obesity and being moderately overweight (even temporary increases in weight) dramatically increase the chances of having skin tags. Women of normal weight with larger breasts are also more prone to developing skin tags under their breasts. Some small tags spontaneously rub or fall off painlessly and the person may not even know they had a skin tag. Most tags do not fall off on their own and persist once formed. The medical name for skin tag is acrochordon.

Rating from 13 Reviews I would definitely recommend Dr. Steve to anyone.GhiDora, Ireland, 13 Jul 16

Mole Assessment, Mole Removal I had a mole on my face which really bothered me, but i was scared of the scar i might have if i get it removed. I went for a consultation with Dr. Steve and he explained to me how the scar would look in the best case scenario and in the worst. He was very professional and explained everything really well which made me to feel at ease and decide to get it removed. I got excellent results and I'm so happy as the scar can be barely seen. And even though he was on his holidays when the results of my biopsy came, he took the time to let me know that everything is fine and the mole was just a normal mole, not skin cancer. I would definitely recommend Dr. Steve to anyone.

Dr. Roy was so nice and kind. He explained everything before the procedure (big skin tag removal on my back) and such a quick operation. I was pain-free and I'm drinking nice coffee to relax after just 50min of stay at the clinic. No queuing and nothing to waste. Thank you so much, Dr. Roy and his lovely assistant Marguerite, for such a pleasant visit! Even its minor surgery, I was quite scared before but now I really wish I should have done it long ago!

Rating from 17 Reviews They made me feel comfortable the minute I enteredOrla, Dublin, 13 Aug 18

One of my colleagues at work recommended this clinic to me for a mole removal. I’m absolutely delighted with the results. I healed without a scar; there’s just a slight indentation, but I’d rather have that than the mole! A week after the procedure, I had the stitches removed. There’ve been no other follow-ups. The staff were really friendly and chatty. They made me feel comfortable the minute I entered. Everything was fantastic. If I need any more moles removed, I’d use them again. They’re just so welcoming. Would definitely recommend!
