What is Mole Removal?

Mole removal is the removal of benign pigment producing cells in the skin. Surgical and nonsurgical mole removal procedures are performed.

What are the types of Mole Removal procedures?

Nonsurgical mole removal procedures include laser assisted mole removal and electrosurgery for mole removal. Surgical mole removal includes mole removal by shaving and mole removal by excision.

Are Mole Removal procedures painful?

Mole removal is performed after administering local anaesthetic to numb the skin. Patients feel no pain during surgical or nonsurgical procedures. They may feel pain or discomfort after the anaesthetic wears off.

When can I travel by air after Mole Removal?

Patients should not travel by air for two days after their surgery.

How long does recovery take after Mole Removal procedures?

Patients take about two days to recover after nonsurgical mole removal procedures and up to a week after surgical mole removal procedures.

What after care is required after Mole Removal procedures?

Patients should take all prescribed medications correctly. They should avoid strenuous exercises and lifting heavy objects for at least a week. They should keep the bandages dry for two days. They should avoid exposure to the sun for a few weeks. Patients should avoid smoking and drinking alcohol for at least a week. Patients can place ice packs over the area, if swelling occurs. Patients should sleep with their head elevated for three days to keep down any swelling. Patients should avoid touching or scratching the area until the wound is completely healed.

They made me feel comfortable the minute I enteredOrla, Dublin, 13 08 18

One of my colleagues at work recommended this clinic to me for a mole removal. I’m absolutely delighted with the results. I healed without a scar; there’s just a slight indentation, but I’d rather have that than the mole! A week after the procedure, I had the stitches removed. There’ve been no other follow-ups. The staff were really friendly and chatty. They made me feel comfortable the minute I entered. Everything was fantastic. If I need any more moles removed, I’d use them again. They’re just so welcoming. Would definitely recommend!

He is very experienced and took the time needed to look after me carefully and thoroughlyLoretto, Ireland, 05 12 19

I was very happy with my first visit. I went for a head to toe assessment after a serious RTA. I was searching for an experienced physiotherapist with the skills to identify my injuries and devise a treatment programme. specific to me. I came across Eamonn's website. He is very experienced and took the time needed to look after me carefully and thoroughly. I feel very confident that the treatment offered is right for me and look forward to my next visits.

Mr. Gavin OBrien - Medical Aesthetics Clinic in Ireland

He struck me as efficient, professional and approachableMeadhbh, South Africa, 30 01 18

I went to Mr. Gavin O'Brien for treatment of varicose and spider veins. Having queried my suitability for the procedure and price on the clinic website, Gavin responded personally. In both his email and in person, he struck me as efficient, professional and approachable, without the condescension that some other consultants might display. I had a lot of very small spider veins and Gavin treated them all, in addition to the main varicose veins for which I sought treatment. The treatment was therefore, very good value for money. I paid the price I'd been quoted and didn’t require any follow-ups, although Gavin made it clear that this option was available. Gavin is good at making small talk and this distracted me from any (very bearable) discomfort during the treatment. Gavin explained everything in advance and throughout the procedure thus putting me at ease. I'd happily recommend Dr. Gavin O'Brien for pre and post patient care.

Great service and I am 100% glad I went thereJohn, Ireland, 06 11 19

I got an appointment very fast. I wanted to get what I thought was a mole looked at by a doctor. It was looked at & it was found to be a wart & not a mole. I had it removed there & then. Great service and I am 100% glad I went there. The doctor was very professional & nice & chatty. I would recommend Knocknacarra medical centre.
