He joined the Department of Upper Gastrointestinal Surgery in Oxford in 2007 as Senior Clinical Fellow and was appointed as a Consultant Surgeon in 2009. Mr Sgromo has been performing weight loss surgery since 2004, with a particular focus on gastric bypasses and revisional bariatric surgery. He specialises in laparoscopic gastric band insertion, endoscopic gastric balloon insertion, laparoscopic roux-en-Y gastric by-pass, laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy and revisional bariatric surgery.
