I went for gastric band surgery at Tonic Weight Loss. The really good reviews made this clinic seem like the best option for me. It was value for money, but I’m experiencing some issues with the recovery at the moment. I had follow-ups, but since the problems started, I’ve had to go to the NHS to find out what the issues are. I was very pleased with the hospital and the clinic. It’s an excellent facility, and the communication was superb. During a telephonic consultation, they gave me the price, and the clinic kept in touch with me all the time. The problems I’m experiencing right now have nothing to do with the treatment. I was probably a bit ill at the time, which caused complications.

Who is suitable for a Gastric Band operation?Whether or not you are suitable for an operation can only be decided after a careful discussion with a Surgeon who specialises in treating obesity. I had the Gastric Sleeve operation with Mr. Chris Sutton in Nottingham (BMI Park Hospital). After a thorough consultation with the doctor and one of the Tonic team (Lauren), I felt really at ease and the hospital was lovely. After seeing other hospitals, clinics and doctors I knew I'd chosen the right place to go for my weight loss surgery. Lauren went through all of the aftercare and support that Tonic provide, dietician, personal trainer and psychotherapist as well as a car to collect me on the day of my surgery - it was all such a stress-free process. I'm now 6 stone down with 2 to go for my target and couldn't be happier with all the care and support I have received. Thank you, Tonic and Mr. Sutton. Very professional and friendly - great information given.
