I would (and have) recommend Dr Türker Karabuga and the gastric sleeve to anyone who has long term weight issues. I have lost over 40kgs and feel fabulous. The procedure was uneventful and I have been able to quickly start exercising and enjoying my energy levels. I have been able to go on an aeroplane without asking for a longer belt, buy clothes off the rack and am generally more confident and feel healthy and well. This has been a great experience for me.

I had a sleeve gastrectomy operation now 5 months ago. I have struggled my whole life with losing weight and after finding out about Dr Cemal Kara and his team I knew this was the best option. From the day I met Dr Cemal and his team they have been so supportive and still continue to. After the operation for the first time in my life, I have lost so much weight which I would never imagine. I am so grateful for everything and this has been the best decision I have ever made. I have now started feeling so much more confident with myself and i am so happy with results so far although i still have some way to go. The biggest reason i chose Dr Cemal and his team was because of recommendations from family members that also had the same operation. But even so they have been so supportive and reassuring with ever stage that I knew I was making the right choice. Gastric Sleeve  
It is done with a closed method (laparoscopy). Usually takes place with 4 small holes. Approximately 80% of the stomach is taken out. It takes an average of 45-60 minutes. After stapling, re-stitching takes place. This suture method is a procedure performed by very rare physicians. It reduces the risk of possible leakage and risks such as stomach upset.

Gastric Bypass means that a part of the stomach and intestines are bypassed and left out of use in obesity surgery.With gastric bypass, a stomach section of approximately 30-50 cc is prepared and sutured to the small intestine. Some of the food taken with gastric bypass surgery is removed from the intestines without being absorbed. After gastric bypass surgery, patients fill up faster and only part of the food they take is absorbed.It is performed laparoscopically (closed).
Duodenal Switch  
In patients who have undergone obesity surgery, there is a 3-5% chance of gaining weight again. A second surgical procedure can be applied to these patients, if they gain weight again, if they have stopped losing weight, weight loss can be started again. All of these secondary procedures are called revision surgery.These types of surgery are also performed by laparoscopic (closed) method.
