I flew in from the UK to this clinic. From the time I got collected from the airport, the whole process was fantastic. The communication before the operation was amazing and the support from the team was outstanding. Faith Osterley the coordinator was brilliant, special thanks to Faith for supporting me. The doctors are amazing. Highly recommend it if you need any surgery. I had the gastric sleeve and it’s the best thing I ever did! I'm writing this comment from home on day 6 of my surgery. I would like to say that I was very scared when I decided to have the operation, but when I arrived in Istanbul and got into the vehicle that was supposed to take me to the hospital, I felt very safe. When I arrived at the hospital, my translator was waiting for me and helped me settle into my room. Before my operation, all the necessary tests were carried out, x-rays were taken and my heart was examined. It was like an investigation was being conducted. The next morning Dr. visited me. Cem with my translator, answered all my questions and encouraged me to have the operation. He is both a very good doctor and very professional. After the operation, I had some pain but they gave me enough painkillers. After a few hours, I was able to walk and move around the hospital on my own. After the hospital the vehicle took me to my hotel, everything was ready for me and the hotel was very nice. I stayed in the hotel for two nights. A WhatsApp group was set up with a nutritionist, a doctor and a translator and I was immediately given all the necessary information. I'm home now and can say my surgery went great. I had my surgery ten days ago and this was so easy no pain and I started to walk immediately after the operation 5 days later I started to work again but you do not have to wait, after 5 days you can start to work again. Now I lost weight and this continues. I feel happy since then.

Hi all, Well mine is a bit of a strange story and I don't know how common my situation is. 10 years ago I had a Gastric bypass on the NHS and it worked great, I lost close on 75kg. However, during lock down, like so many others out of boredom I drank lots of alcahol and started getting back in bad eating habits and put on over 30kg. I tried getting this looked into by the NHS but my GP just seemed not to care.
