Like any other treatment or life experience, psychotherapy may not be suitable for everyone. Each individual has to make up their own mind about whether therapy is helpful for them. Clinical experience shows that if you are motivated and set yourself realistic goals, psychotherapy is likely to be of benefit.How long will it take?The length of treatment will be determined by what you are offered following assessment. How often are the sessions? Most psychotherapy is once weekly, although sometimes client’s circumstances won’t allow for this, so an alternative arrangement will be made. I originally went to Renata due to relationship (attachment) issues and health anxiety in Winter 2021. I was initially expecting some help to get me through hard times, but it went far beyond my expectations. Over the course of 8 months (1 hour weekly sessions), Renata effectively triaged and treated the most severe issues (health anxiety) before using the same powerful tools to help me in life in general. Besides her deep knowledge, Renata is a brilliant listener, naturally fun and very easy to talk to. This makes for easy work even on daunting issues. I found it especially useful that she isn't afraid to give creative advice also, drawing on her deep experience in psychotherapy and even biology and philosophy to support more traditional techniques. Specifically we used CBT and schema tools. I'll always consider myself a work in progress, but I feel much less anxious, stronger and more at home in my own head than I have in years! Moreover, she has taught me the tools to maintain this and continually improve. It is honestly the best gift I could have given myself. I only wish I went years ago.

Called up as I have been having some concerns and wanted a full check-up and consultation about my heart, spoke to the receptionist and was guided to book my appointment on their website which I found very easy and convenient as I could choose the day and time that I wanted and I was really happy how clear their fees were. Dr Mo was so good and compassionate and took all the time to explain everything to me and address all my concerns. Since then I have moved from my old GP to Ellwood Clinic and I am really glad because they are always there to take my calls and I can get an appointment anytime.
