True Horizon - Lisa Fitzgerald - Counsellor & Psychotherapist

True Horizon

46 Mountjoy Square, Dublin, D1
Rating from 8 Reviews I felt like a massive weight had been lifted off my shouldersTheresa, Ireland, 14 Oct 15

I have suffered from low self esteem and for a long time I felt like I was stuck in a rut. I knew something had to give. I made an appointment with Lisa in the hope that counselling might help me with my dark feelings. Almost immediately after meeting with Lisa I felt like a massive weight had been lifted off my shoulders. Lisa has helped me achieve a better understanding of myself. I have attended 6 sessions with Lisa at True Horizon so far and she has already provided me with great tools to manage my dark feelings. Lisa's fee of €50.00 per session is very reasonable. True Horizon is a calm and safe environment. I was nervous before my first session but all my nerves left me as soon as I met Lisa. She is such a genuine and non judgmental person. I would highly recommend Lisa to anyone who is feeling low or just doesn't feel right in themselves. The best move I've ever made was to make that initial appointment with Lisa.

Anne-Louise Foley Counselling at The Healing House

The Healing House, 24 O'Connell Avenue, Berkeley Road, Dublin 7
Conveniently located close to Dublin City centre (10 mins walk from O'Connell St; on the 46a bus route) The Healing House offers a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere for various types of therapy. I am a pre-accredited counsellor, which means I'm working towards full accreditation.  I hold a BA (hons) in Counselling & Psychotherapy from ICHAS (the Irish College of Humanities & Applied Sciences) and am a pre-accredited member of the APCP and the BACP. I work in a humanistic and integrative way, using elements of theory from different schools of psychotherapy in order to help clients develop a stronger and healthier sense of themselves.  I believe people have the resources within themselves to find answers and resolve their difficulties but sometimes need some help on this often daunting journey.

The Healing House, 24 O'Connell Avenue, Berkeley Road, Dublin 7
Rating from 1 Review Gave me the skills to work on for panic attacksJulie, Ireland, 11 Jan 16

Attended three months of counselling with Kristyna. I have dealt with Anxiety issues all my life and have been to many councillors over the years but I truly connected with Kristyna as she gave me skills to work on when a panic attacks appear. I felt I was being valued and listened to when I was in a session with Kristyna as I felt truly connected and present during most of my sessions even when I was not feeling great in myself. I would have no problem re-attending if I need to again.

Nozomi Counselling & Psychotherapy - Psychotherapy Clinic in Ireland

Nozomi Counselling & Psychotherapy

46 Mountjoy Square South, Dublin
Affordable Counselling & Psychotherapy in Dublin City Centre My name is Simon Forsyth and I have a Diploma and First Class Honours Degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy from PCI College, where I now also work as a lecturer. Nozomi is a Japanese word meaning 'hope' or 'wish'. Seeking help by talking to a professional about what is troubling you can be the first step towards bringing hope to a difficult situation and making a real change for the better. The type of therapy I offer is called Person-centred. The approach was founded by renowned psychologist Carl Rogers, who believed that everyone has an in-built capacity to grow and find their place in the world, while at the same time recognising that we may need a bit of help to do this.Working with a counsellor gives you a confidential space where you can be yourself. Whatever it is that you are struggling with or wanting to explore can be brought into the room and kept safe there for as long as you need. We all have ups and downs  in our lives - some that go on for longer than others - but the counselling relationship acknowledges that we are all unique, and will react to different situations in different ways.My aim is to offer you an accepting, non-judgemental environment where you are really listened to, where you can grow, and where you can find your own answers, in your own time.

Insight Matters provides Individual, Relationship and Group Counselling, Psychotherapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) for a wide range of issues. Psychotherapy and counselling gives you a regular time to think and talk about the issues, which are stopping you from living a happier and fuller life. This is carried out in a confidential, safe and non-judgemental space. It works best when a collaborative relationship is formed between you and your therapist. These changes include: • Becoming more able to feel, identify and express emotions.• Making connections (e.g. between feelings and behaviours or past and present experiences).• Gaining a greater understanding of behaviours.• Developing effective emotional and practical coping strategies.• Re-evaluating perceptions and past experiences, this often leads us to become more self-accepting. Initial Meeting This may be your first time entering therapy; here is a list of what we have seen to be true for many people about therapy: •It takes time to establish a trusting relationship with a therapist. •It is important to go at your own pace and not overwhelm yourself.  •We all resist change. Don’t be surprised if you are tempted to quit right before some real changes or breakthroughs are about to happen. •Becoming more healthy and balanced can feel very unfamiliar and uncomfortable at first. •Therapy is hard work. •Some therapy is short term (usually focusing on one issue and situation) and other therapy may be longer term (more than one or complex issues.)  •Expect your therapist to hold strong boundaries, be ethical, and treat you with respect.  •Remember that therapy, in the hands of a skilled therapist, is a powerful and life-changing experience. It has been shown to be effective for a variety of difficulties and problems. If you need therapy and work as an active participant in your own treatment, you can expect it will be well worth the time and money you invest.
