The Therapy Centre

8 Store Street, Dublin 1, Co. Dublin
5.0 from 7 verified reviews
My name is Laura Branigan-Bayoumi and I hold an honours degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy from Dublin Business School and am a fully accredited member of the I.A.C.P.  I work from a humanistic and integrative approach, which means that I draw on various humanistic, psychodynamic and solution focused theories in order to  explore the difficulties you are facing, increase your self-awareness and  provide you with support.   As a humanistic Psychotherapist I respect  each individual's ability to make their own decisions. My work with you will not be about giving advice or deciding what is best for you. Instead, through discussion and exploration, I will work with you to help you clarify your own beliefs, values and priorities, so you can reach your own decisions on what is best for you.   We will work together in order to truly understand your thoughts, emotions and behaviours, to deepen your level of self awareness, and to identify and work on breaking unhelpful patterns in your life. We will work towards empowering you, so that you are better able to manage and overcome whatever is holding you back from reaching  your goals and aspirations.

Anne-Louise Foley Counselling at The Healing House

The Healing House, 24 O'Connell Avenue, Berkeley Road, Dublin 7
I'm currently offering both face to face* and also online counselling. If you're feeling stuck in your life, or anxious, stressed, or depressed, counselling can help. I believe that you have the resources within yourself to find answers and resolve your difficulties, but may need a bit of help on this journey.  I work in an integrative way, meaning that I will use elements from different areas of psychotherapy in order to help you develop a stronger and healthier sense of yourself. It is helpful to gain some insight into the cause of the problem, and then work together with you on finding ways forward.  I hold a BA (hons) in Counselling & Psychotherapy from ICHAS (the Irish College of Humanities & Applied Sciences) and am an accredited member of the APCP and also a registered member of the BACP. I have experience and knowledge in trauma and have trained in EMDR and am currently training in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, a body-focused treatment for trauma.  Most recently I have trained in couples co)unselling and am now seeing couples. Please contact me for further information if this is a service you require. *I see clients primarily at the Healing House in Phibsboro but am also based at Willow Tree Clontarf (on Friday mornings)

Nozomi Counselling & Psychotherapy - Psychotherapy Clinic in Ireland

Nozomi Counselling & Psychotherapy

46 Mountjoy Square South, Dublin
Affordable Counselling & Psychotherapy in Dublin City Centre My name is Simon Forsyth and I have a Diploma and First Class Honours Degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy from PCI College, where I now also work as a lecturer. Nozomi is a Japanese word meaning 'hope' or 'wish'. Seeking help by talking to a professional about what is troubling you can be the first step towards bringing hope to a difficult situation and making a real change for the better. The type of therapy I offer is called Person-centred. The approach was founded by renowned psychologist Carl Rogers, who believed that everyone has an in-built capacity to grow and find their place in the world, while at the same time recognising that we may need a bit of help to do this.Working with a counsellor gives you a confidential space where you can be yourself. Whatever it is that you are struggling with or wanting to explore can be brought into the room and kept safe there for as long as you need. We all have ups and downs  in our lives - some that go on for longer than others - but the counselling relationship acknowledges that we are all unique, and will react to different situations in different ways.My aim is to offer you an accepting, non-judgemental environment where you are really listened to, where you can grow, and where you can find your own answers, in your own time.

Welcome to The Healing House We are a dedicated team of healers led by founder John Kenny and Gemma Grimes. Together we provide a safe environment and a peaceful atmosphere for both clients and therapists to work in. We believe that everyone encounters problems in life, and all of us at some time need a helping hand to get over the more serious problems. Difficulties ranging from addictions to naievity, from marital challenges to job related stress or even unfair dismissal or bullying in the work place. Some of us have experienced physical problems like back pain or emotional pain from wounding relationships, abuse or bereavement. Mental pain such as phobias, depression, suicidal thoughts or 'racing brain syndrome' can leave us feeling cornered and without help. Spiritual pain can be experienced when we feel lost or we lack trust in life. At The Healing House we provide caring therapists experienced in each of these fields to help you to feel better as quickly as possible.

Initial Meeting This may be your first time entering therapy; here is a list of what we have seen to be true for many people about therapy: •It takes time to establish a trusting relationship with a therapist. •It is important to go at your own pace and not overwhelm yourself.  •We all resist change. Don’t be surprised if you are tempted to quit right before some real changes or breakthroughs are about to happen. •Becoming more healthy and balanced can feel very unfamiliar and uncomfortable at first. •Therapy is hard work. •Some therapy is short term (usually focusing on one issue and situation) and other therapy may be longer term (more than one or complex issues.)  •Expect your therapist to hold strong boundaries, be ethical, and treat you with respect.  •Remember that therapy, in the hands of a skilled therapist, is a powerful and life-changing experience. It has been shown to be effective for a variety of difficulties and problems. If you need therapy and work as an active participant in your own treatment, you can expect it will be well worth the time and money you invest.
