Dublin Psychotherapy - Psychology Clinic in Ireland

Dublin Psychotherapy

62 Lower Baggot Street, Dublin 2, D2
Rating from 15 Reviews For the first time ever I felt being a peerLuca, Ireland, 30 Jan 17

I was treated by Marcello from Aug/2013 to Jan/2016: 1.5 years. I was diagnosed Dysthymia and Cyclothymia with bipolar mood. Marcello treated me with cognitive behavioral therapy. I had never thought I would have been able to live ever in a society and I had never thought I would stop going to my therapist. Today I celebrate my first year from my last time at Marcello's: I can say loudly I am able to live on my own, to observe myself, to be aware of what's around me, of the traps of my minds. I can see I am free now, and it took time! It took 2.5 years, but I made it. Today I went back to Marcello's just to say Thank You and to tell him about my current life. For the first time ever I felt being a peer. Thank you, Marcello!

Petra Kucan Psychologist

24 Upper Rathmines Road, Rathmines, Dublin, D6
Rating from 9 Reviews I always knew she had my best interests at heart and I never considered going elsewhere for help.Niall, Ireland, 29 Nov 18

I initially went to Petra to after a particularly bad depressive episode- she helped me recognise and prevent the behaviours and thoughts that aggravated these emotions. From there, we tackled some particularly debilitating social anxiety, where Petra helped me regain control of what I would and wouldn't allow myself to do. Looking back on where I was in this regard, from being unable to leave the house some days, to now feeling comfortable travelling on my own and approaching strangers in public, I feel totally indebted to Petra. On top of that, she was able to help me come to terms with a Body Dysmorphia Disorder. This all took place over the course of 3 years, and while there was obviously certain setbacks, I always felt complete trust in Petra and her advice. I first worked with Petra prior to setting up her own practice, in a larger practice on a recommendation from my university. As someone who has always struggled to display emotion, Petra obviously displayed something that allowed me to open up as I was immediately emotional from our first session. From there, I always knew she had my best interests at heart and I never considered going elsewhere for help.

Rating from 7 Reviews I cannot be more grateful for all the support and help that I'm getting from my therapistTeodora, Ireland, 23 Apr 18

What I can say that the treatment and my lovely therapist Beatriz changed my life. I've been fighting against eating disorder for almost whole my life but I've never been aware what I was doing and the reason behind it. Always feeling I was not good enough, not taking care of myself, and just going with the flow. It has been quite a tough period for me. 2 years ago I was in a life crisis and depression and a friend of mine who was doing the therapy recommended to me. I didn't think it even for a moment. I just felt I have to do something otherwise I won't be never happy with myself. Since the first session, I had an amazingly strong connection with my therapist and I truly believe this was the key to success. It was very important to feel safe and comfortable to talk to her and especially to open up. I'm saying this because a couple of months starting the therapy with Beatriz I had the other therapist and it was not working at all. I was feeling so pressured if I didn't know how to answer her questions so it was not good at all. After 2 years of therapy, I have to say this is the best thing I've ever done for myself. I've improved a lot with my well-being but still, have a long way to go but now I feel much more confident and strong to continue with this journey. I cannot be more grateful for all the support and help that I'm getting from my therapist. The clinic of Mymind is very comfortable and it's in a perfect location for me. It takes just 10 min by bike and this is one of the reasons I've picked it. My first session I was quite nervous, but after a while I started filling very comfortable and even I met new people in the clinic. At the beginning I was scared if someone who knows me will see going there and they would think but right now I feel that confident that I don't care at all. Even I'm recommending my friends to start a treatment.

CBT - Cognitive Behavioural Therapy €70 - €90
What is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy? Cognitive Behavioural Therapy has been the most widely researched therapy. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is a type of therapy that involves addressing a person’s problematic thinking styles and behaviors. It is based on the idea that how we think (cognition), how we feel (emotion), and how we act (behaviour) all interact together. Specifically, our thoughts determine our feelings and our behavior. Therefore, negative thoughts can cause us distress and result in problems. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy helps people to develop alternative viewpoints in order to tackle their problems. Developing alternative viewpoints is the cornerstone of the CBT principle that there is always more than one way of seeing things and therefore a person chooses their own viewpoint. This type of therapy has been found to be helpful in: AnxietyPanic attackDepressionAcrophobia and other phobiasSocial phobiasBulimiaObsessive compulsive disorderPost traumatic stress disorderStressRelationship problems When we change the way we think for the better, this in turn, contributes to how we view and react to situations around us. It also helps to bring new clarity of thought to help make better decisions for ourselves and others.
Couples Therapy €90 - €120
What is Marriage & Relationship Counselling? Relationships can run into difficulties from time to time resulting in conflict, lack of communication and disappointment. Normal life stage events such as the birth of a new baby, redundancy, retirement, a change in work/life balance or children leaving home can also present couples with the challenge of renegotiating their expectations of themselves and each other. Counselling can teach you some valuable ways to improve and enhance communication skills and to work through difficult emotions to achieve clarity, understanding and connection. Elmwood Centre offers relationship counselling in a safe and comfortable environment to co-habiting, married and same sex couples. We provide the space for couples to talk, listen and be heard. By working with a counsellor who possesses empathy and professional expertise, couples feel supported while working through the challenges in their intimate relationship. While being aware of the uniqueness of each individual, we also have the skills and experience to hear both sides of the story in complete confidence, without judgement and without taking sides. The relationship you wish to explore may be past, present or in the future, and we invite you, alone or with your partner, to avail of the opportunity to explore, understand and transform your relationships.

EFT Dublin - Psychology Clinic in Ireland

EFT Dublin

4 Tower Avenue, Rathgar, Rathgar, 6
Using the body’s acupuncture meridian system, EFT or tapping as it is more commonly referred to, is a technique where you tap with your fingertips on acupressure meridian points as a way of releasing stress, anxiety and negative beliefs. The body, like everything in the universe, is composed of energy. All negative emotions that we have are felt through a disruption of our body’s energy. When you restore balance to the body’s energy, you mend the negative emotions and physical symptoms that stem from the energy disruption. By tapping on selected acupressure points, and focusing on the negative emotion, you are tapping into your body’s own energy and healing power, restoring the body’s energy balance and releasing negative emotions. From pain relief to healing childhood trauma, to clearing limiting financial beliefs, to weight loss, body image and food cravings, to fears and phobias, tapping is a powerful and effective technique.

Rating from 9 Reviews I think the process with the clinic, from booking through to the reports, was fantasticSiobhan, Ireland, 19 Apr 18

I would recommend the Éirim services to anyone. My son's teacher recommended we put some extra effort into his reading homework to help him catch up with this class. We decided to book a psychologist with Éirim. Following the assessment, we learned in the most gentle and considerate manner that he had dyslexia. We were so impressed by the assessment, that we asked for one of our older daughter as well. I think the process with Éirim, from booking through to the reports, was fantastic. Thank you so much for your very professional, and kind service.
