Exercise Therapy
Exercise Physiotherapy for NeuroConditions up to €65
Exercise Physiotherapy for Neurological ConditionsExercise physiotherapy for neurological conditions focuses on improving movement, strength, balance, and overall functional ability in individuals living with disorders that affect the brain, spinal cord, or peripheral nerves. Through targeted, evidence-based exercises, physiotherapists help patients regain mobility, enhance coordination, and reduce the impact of symptoms such as muscle weakness, spasticity, poor balance, and fatigue. This type of therapy is tailored to each person’s specific neurological diagnosis—such as stroke, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, spinal cord injury, cerebral palsy, neuropathies, or traumatic brain injury. Treatment often includes gait training, strength and flexibility exercises, motor-control retraining, balance and postural stability work, cardiovascular conditioning, and functional task practice. The goal of exercise physiotherapy in neuro-rehabilitation is not only to restore lost abilities but also to promote neuroplasticity—the brain’s capacity to form new connections. By engaging patients in repetitive, meaningful movement, therapy helps improve everyday activities, reduce long-term complications, and enhance overall quality of life. Education, motivation, and home-exercise programs are essential components to support continued progress and independence.
Exercise Physiotherapy for Orthopedic Conditions up to €65
Exercise Physiotherapy for Orthopedic Conditions Exercise physiotherapy is a specialized rehabilitation approach designed to restore movement, reduce pain, and improve physical function in individuals with orthopedic conditions. It focuses on evidence-based therapeutic exercises that target the muscles, joints, and soft tissues affected by injury, surgery, or chronic musculoskeletal disorders. In orthopedic care, exercise physiotherapy plays a crucial role in enhancing mobility, rebuilding strength, improving balance, and promoting optimal body mechanics. Treatment programs are customized to each patient’s condition—such as fractures, arthritis, ligament injuries, tendonitis, joint replacements, back and neck pain, or sports-related injuries—and progress safely from early recovery to full functional restoration. A typical orthopedic exercise physiotherapy program may include: Range-of-motion exercises to restore joint flexibility Strength training to rebuild muscle support and stabilize affected areas Neuromuscular re-education to improve coordination and movement patterns Posture and gait training for better alignment and mobility Core stability and balance exercises to prevent future injury Functional and sport-specific training to help patients return to daily activities or athletic performance

His purpose-built studio is kitted out very professionallyMargaret, Ireland, 07 01 25

Following an accident (fell backwards from a height) I am receiving Tecar Treatment. The pain I was experiencing completely took over my life. When in bed I couldn’t even turn without help. Couldn’t stand up from sitting and worst of all I could only take baby steps. Basically I could do nothing unless my husband did everything for me. Independence gone - scary stuff. I started to improve after a number of sessions over 8 weeks. While home for Christmas and New Year I was so glad to find Brian and The Cottage Clinic that have Tecar Therapy. Brian is a lovely guy and puts you at ease immediately. His purpose-built studio is kitted out very professionally. I can highly recommend Tecar Therapy. It’s a non invasive therapy and very soothing on soft and deep tissue. My injury is in the lumbar area on an old injury. I have made substantial progress with Tecar without taking anti inflammatory or pain relief medication (I’m allergic). I can highly recommend Brian The Cottage Clinic and Tecar Therapy.

Sinead OLoughlin Physiotherapy and Holistic Health - Ms Sinead OLoughlin

Sinead O'Loughlin Physiotherapy and Holistic Health

6 Cumberland St, Dun Laoghaire, Dublin, 0

Chartered Physiotherapist with 25 years experience. Completed 2 Masters Degrees in Manual Therapy and Musculoskeletal Health. From early in my career I began practicing and teaching yoga and pilates and began to develop a holistic approach. This led me to studying craniosacral therapy and later visceral manipulation and somatic movement education. Most recently I've been delving deeply into study of trauma and the Nervous System as it is so involved in any chronic health problems.  As a result I have a very holistic approach that is suited both to acute injuries and chronic longstanding problems. My main interests are women's health (pelvic health/pre and post natal) and pain.  Holistic bodywork sessions will usually address body parts away from the site of pain because of the interconnectness of the fascial system.  I also teach  yoga and workshops/courses on pelvic health and the nervous system.

Dry needling is a great way to quickly reduce tension in specific muscles. Fantastic for sports injuries but also for those tight sore shoulders that result from stress or desk work.
