She returned to Ireland in 2001 and set up a private physiotherapy practice in Abbeyfeale, Co. Limerick specialising in the area of musculoskeletal therapy and sports injury. In 2006 she was awarded an MSc in Sports Injury from Manchester Metropolitan University. Her research interests include sports injury, injury prediction and prevention, models of practice education, assessment of clinical competence and reflective tools. In 2009 Anne was awarded a Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical Teaching from National University of Ireland, Galway.
