Ambulant Physiotherapy Ltd specialises in Physiotherapy and Sports Injuries and has over 10 Senior HCPC Registered Chartered Physiotherapists who offer detailed assessment & diagnosis for various conditions. They provide advice on exercise and mobilisation programmes, preventative measures, and offer treatments such as massage, ultrasound and 

acupuncture for pain relief and rehabilitation for complete recovery from injuries.

We also offer a wide variety of holistic services, such as sports therapy, full body massages, Swedish, Remedial and Indian Head Massage. We also offer weekly Pilates classes. Also available are holistic therapies, aromatherapy massage, reflexology, homeopathy, Hopi ear candles etc. We also offer treatments specialised for women and pregnancy. 

New to Ambulant Physiotherapy Ltd is Psychotherapy. This is counselling that can help with many deep issues.

All health insurances and private medical insurance claims are accepted. Home visits can be arranged on request.

The staff are absolutely fantastic

5 50 Physiotherapist Consultation

I had a car accident in October this year, I was referred to them. The staff are absolutely fantastic and my physiotherapy is done by Luke, who is absolutely amazing. I was aching all over, I have had a few sessions with Luke and I feel absolutely great, back on the road to recovery. Thank you guys you do such a wonderful job.

Martha graduated from Coventry University in 1997. She is a chartered physiotherapist and has broad knowledge and experience from several NHS hospitals around England, and has been specialising in the musculo-skeletal field over the last 7 years. She partakes in postgraduate courses to continue her professional development, to maintain a high level of knowledge, and also to learn new treatment techniques. Recent courses include updates in acupuncture, muscle energy techniques, kinetic control and Swingbuster®. Martha is also the physiotherapist at Fulwood Army Barracks and rehabilitates the soldiers to return to their full duties. Martha frequently works with a wide variety of patients and has extensive knowledge of how best to treat a range of injuries.

Judith qualified as a Chartered Physiotherapist from the Royal Liverpool School of Physiotherapy in 1978. She began her professional career at Wrightington Hospital gaining valuable experience in Orthopaedics. After working overseas for a number of years Judith returned to Preston to pursue a career in Orthopaedics with a strong focus on pre and post operative management for patients undergoing joint replacements and cruciate ligament reconstructions. She progressed to become the manager of the Physiotherapist Department with responsibility for the Moving and Handling Training at the hospital. Over the past 8 years, Judith has continued in the private health sector providing holistic treatment and management for patients with a variety of musculo-skeletal and sporting injuries. Joanne Steel qualified as a Chartered Physiotherapist from the University of Manchester in 2000. Since qualifiying she has worked within the East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust and has held the post of Clinical Specialist/ Team Leader Physiotherapist in Rheumatology since 2004. Rheumatology covers a variety of inflammatory conditions including Rheumatoid Arthritis, Ankylosing Spondlitis, Inflammatory back pain, Lupos and Connective Tissue Disorders. Joanne works closely with the Rheumatology Consultants and multidisciplinary team to provide a quality and effective service.

Joanne has been the club Physiotherapist at Preston Grasshoppers Rugby Club since 2001. This role involves acute injury management, assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of semi-professional rugby players back to match fitness and liaising with the coaching staff with regards to training. Joanne has excellent skills in strapping to support vulnerable joints and the work she does gives her an excellent insight into progression of rehabilitation.

Joanne has excellent skills to manage a wide range of acute and chronic musculoskeletal problems, especially those with a complex presentation.

Natalie Almond qualified as a Chartered Physiotherapist from the University of Salford in 2003. She has worked at Ambulant Physiotherapy since 2010 and has a wide base of knowledge and experience in musculoskeletal conditions. Genevieve studied Physiotherapy at Manchester Metropolitan University from 2003-6 passing with upper class second honours. She began working at Royal Preston Hospital in September 2006 as a junior Physiotherapist, rotating round many different areas, before developing a keen interest in neurological conditions and  rehabilitation.

In 2008, Genevieve specialised in the Medical, Elderly and Neurosciences area, where she works on Neurosurgery, Rehabilitation wards, Stroke unit and Neurology wards as well as the general medical wards. This has given Genevieve a fantastic level of experience and the knowledge, skills and confidence to treat a wide variety of patients, with varied neurological and movement problems.

Genevieve has further developed knowledge and skills in neurological rehabilitation by attending courses based on the Bobath  concept. Mr Matt Kenyon

Matt Kenyon is the Lower Limb clinical specialist for East Lancashire Hospitals Trust. A graduate of the University of Salford in 2003, his Masters studies have included lower limb and spinal differential diagnosis, investigation and treatment at the University of Liverpool. Matt has worked in the NHS as a private lower limb specialist for many years, he has a particular interest in high performance sport and has successfully managed elite athletes during training and competition across a wide range of sports including hockey, swimming, athletics, football, rugby, boxing, cycling, sailing and tennis.

Matt is the chair and founder of the East Lancs Lower Limb specialist interest group whos role is to identify and implement quality improvements across East Lancs using evidence based on practise and research. He works closely with local Orthopaedic consultants and reviews complex lower limb cases for them.
