Reflexology up to €55
Reflexology is a gentle non-invasive therapy based on the principle that there are reflexes in the feet, hands and ears that correspond to every organ gland and system in the body. By stimulating these reflexes, reflexology encourages deep healing and tranquil relaxation. This therapy is particularly beneficial for joint mobilisation, migraine, sinus, digestion, back problems and stress-related conditions as it discharges negativity and stimulates the body’s own immune system for self-healing. It can also enhance general well-being so why not book yourself a treat and pop into your local Care Cure Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine for a soothing reflexology session? Massage from €60
Full Body Massage from €60
By far, the most popular benefit of Full Body Massage is that it is both relaxing and invigorating. It is an excellent way to help rid the body of tension and to achieve a sense of overall well-being. A standard Full Body session lasts for 60 or 90 minutes, and addresses most major muscle groups of the body. The session is usually performed on a soft massage table, in an environment that is meant to relax the recipient. The strokes of the massage relax individual muscles, while the overall experience eliminates mental stress.Sessions can target specific areas of pain like a sprained ankle, or they can be used to help manage the chronic pain that comes with conditions like arthritis. By using strokes that improve circulation and increase body-wide relaxation, the massage therapist can help make many painful conditions more bearable. The strokes of massage replicate the movements of the circulatory system. By performing the strokes toward the heart, massage drains metabolic waste from the limbs of the body. Massage can break up muscle adhesions and help promote the healthy healing of scar tissue. Swedish Massage uses strokes like cross-fiber friction to work out the kinks that can accompany injured muscles. These strokes help get rid of scar tissue and return the muscles to their normal, healthy state.
Tui Na from €60
What is Tui Na? Tui Na (pronounced "Twee-Na") is a type of therapeutic massage.  It's history is thousands of years old and it has developed into a highly successful and modern system of medicine.   It is one of the pillars of Traditional Chinese Medicine and is often used in combination with other branches of Chinese medicine like acupuncture or Chinese herbal medicine.   That said, Tui Na can excel as a therapy in it's own right.  It is used in all the major hospitals in China where it is so effective that it is classed as a distinct medical system in it's own right. WHAT CAN TUI NA TREAT? Tui Na can be used in a variety of situations, anything from a general massage to treatment for sports injuries.  It is particularly useful in treating pain conditions... •Neck pain and Frozen Shoulder                     •Headache   •Low energy / Poor circulation   •Digestive Disorders  •Back pain / Sciatica     •Rheumatism / Arthritis       •Joint pain / Limited Movement   •Ankle or Wrist pain  •Sports injuries   •Stress / Anxiety  •Insomnia  •Gynaecological Problems
Deep Tissue Massage from €60
Deep Tissue Massage targets the deep tissue structure of the fascia and muscles, referred to as connective tissue. Of the many types of massage, deep tissue focuses on the release of muscle tension and chronic knots. Deep tissue massage can break up and eliminate scar tissue from previous injuries. A common problem is that stressed muscles can block nutrients and oxygen from getting to where they need to go, and this will cause inflammation that allows toxins to build up in your muscle tissue.  The inflammation and toxins contribute to pain and stress. Deep Tissue Massage breaks up and releases the built-up toxins by loosening the muscles. With the toxins released, blood and oxygen can circulate as they should through one’s body. Being properly hydrated before you go to your massage appointment and drinking plenty of water after one of these massages is highly recommended. The strokes used in deep tissue massage are similar to those used in a Swedish Massage except more pressure is used and it uses cross grain strokes (strokes that go across the gain of the muscles instead of with the grain). As with a classic Swedish massage, you will be lying on a massage table and covered with a sheet or towel. A good way to recover from a Deep Tissue Massage is by soaking in a warm bath with Epsom salt. This soaking is recommended because it will help get more of the toxins out of your body (Epsom salt draws the toxins out into the water). Your muscles need some rest after one of these massages, even if you feel no soreness. So do not plan any activities within a day of a Deep Tissue Massage. Some people think that if you just push hard enough, a knot could be worked out in one session, but this is not the case. For built-up tension and chronic knots (adhesions) deep tissue massage is just one part of the treatment.

MLD - Manual Lymphatic Drainage €60 - €90
What Is Lymphatic Drainage Therapy (Dr. Vodder)? It is a specialised therapy, which is designed to improve the functioning of the lymphatic system. This is primarily achieved through gentle, rhythmical circling movements of the skin, which stimulate the contractions of the lymphatic vessels. Techniques are performed with hands and fingers using a light-touch, which is simulating, gentle, through a wave-like movement. The subtle manual manoeuvres activate lymph and interstitial fluid circulation as well as stimulate the functioning of the immune and parasympathetic nervous systems. A well-functioning lymph system contributes to healthy body tissue and plays an important part in the body's immune system. Who Can Benefit From Manual Lymphatic Drainage? Manual Lymphatic Drainage Massage is recommended for pregnant women to help relieve puffy hands and legs, for sports injures such as sprains, fractures, etc., to help with slimming or cleansing diets, for people who suffer from chronic nasal congestion and much more. What Happens In A Treatment? Following an initial consultation where the therapist checks the client’s health and checks for any contraindications, the client will be left to get undressed in private. During the treatment the client will lie on a massage table or plinth and will be fully covered by towels, with only the body part being worked on at the time remaining exposed.
Reflexology from €50
Reflexology has many of the same benefits as body massage with the additional benefit of being a less intrusive treatment, as the treatment is carried out upon the feet alone. - Reflexology is believed to be beneficial for circulation, digestion, and respiratory problems - Sinus sufferers maintain that it offers instant relief from congestion - It can also have a dramatic impact on stress levels as well as helping to restore hormonal imbalances. Stress is now believed to be a major cause of physical illness so by reducing tension and improving blood and nerve supply, this alternative therapy can contribute to better overall health

Mandala Holistic Therapies

Dublin Holistic Centre, 28 South William St., Dublin 2
My interest in complementary therapies began in my teenage years as I was blessed come from a family of successful holistic practitioners and teachers and would often help out on courses, learning the techniques myself in the process. During my time in university studying Health and Society I took a number of massage courses to become a fully qualified practitioner and haven't looked back since. I have found that the integration of massage and complementary treatments into peoples busy lives is an integral and powerful tool for maintaining balance and keeping stress at bay. I have been involved in setting up healing spaces at festivals and events, and recently helped set up a beautiful treatment room in the Fumbally Stables in Dublin 8, which is used by a dynamic team of holistic practitioners. My work in this field has lead me to working with vulnerable people in the community such as those with intellectual and physical disabilities, mental health issues and addiction. I have found that the response from these clients to gentle, loving massage has been transformational to the way I work. By using intuition and a slow approach with those who are challenged with verbal or physical communication, I feel that my intuition with every client has become stronger and I have learnt to ‘listen with my hands’ to tailor treatments for each persons needs.  I completed most of my training through the London Centre of Indian Champissage and I specialise in Ayurvedic treatments which in
