Rating from 6 Reviews My treatment was great!Dee, Ireland, 24 Dec 14

I was very impressed by every aspect of my dealings with the clinic. All the staff are helpful, courteous & pleasant & very professional. My treatment was great! Dr Jeffrey listened to me & my concerns & explained things very clearly & answered my questions. I was very pleased with the report I was sent after my diti. It was professional & very thorough & I feel the money it cost was well spent. My overall experience was faultless & enjoyable...I was definitely in good hands! A huge thanks to all concerned.

Mandala Holistic Therapies

My interest in complementary therapies began in my teenage years as I was blessed come from a family of successful holistic practitioners and teachers and would often help out on courses, learning the techniques myself in the process. During my time in university studying Health and Society I took a number of massage courses to become a fully qualified practitioner and haven't looked back since. I have found that the integration of massage and complementary treatments into peoples busy lives is an integral and powerful tool for maintaining balance and keeping stress at bay. I have been involved in setting up healing spaces at festivals and events, and recently helped set up a beautiful treatment room in the Fumbally Stables in Dublin 8, which is used by a dynamic team of holistic practitioners. My work in this field has lead me to working with vulnerable people in the community such as those with intellectual and physical disabilities, mental health issues and addiction. I have found that the response from these clients to gentle, loving massage has been transformational to the way I work. By using intuition and a slow approach with those who are challenged with verbal or physical communication, I feel that my intuition with every client has become stronger and I have learnt to ‘listen with my hands’ to tailor treatments for each persons needs.  I completed most of my training through the London Centre of Indian Champissage and I specialise in Ayurvedic treatments which in

The seven Chakras, which can be accessed on the soles of the feet, are also worked on during the treatment. The massage continues using a small bowl made from copper, zinc, and tin, which combined are known in Ayurveda as the 'healing metal' - thought to be even more effective than gold or silver.

Massage From €60
Deep Tissue Massage From €60
Deep Tissue Massage targets the deep tissue structure of the fascia and muscles, referred to as connective tissue. Of the many types of massage, deep tissue focuses on the release of muscle tension and chronic knots. Deep tissue massage can break up and eliminate scar tissue from previous injuries. A common problem is that stressed muscles can block nutrients and oxygen from getting to where they need to go, and this will cause inflammation that allows toxins to build up in your muscle tissue.  The inflammation and toxins contribute to pain and stress. Deep Tissue Massage breaks up and releases the built-up toxins by loosening the muscles. With the toxins released, blood and oxygen can circulate as they should through one’s body. Being properly hydrated before you go to your massage appointment and drinking plenty of water after one of these massages is highly recommended. The strokes used in deep tissue massage are similar to those used in a Swedish Massage except more pressure is used and it uses cross grain strokes (strokes that go across the gain of the muscles instead of with the grain). As with a classic Swedish massage, you will be lying on a massage table and covered with a sheet or towel. A good way to recover from a Deep Tissue Massage is by soaking in a warm bath with Epsom salt. This soaking is recommended because it will help get more of the toxins out of your body (Epsom salt draws the toxins out into the water). Your muscles need some rest after one of these massages, even if you feel no soreness. So do not plan any activities within a day of a Deep Tissue Massage. Some people think that if you just push hard enough, a knot could be worked out in one session, but this is not the case. For built-up tension and chronic knots (adhesions) deep tissue massage is just one part of the treatment.

Given the environment in which a lot of us live today, it is no wonder that we can find ourselves out of balance sometimes. It is important to allow ourselves time to check back in with our body. Massage is a beautiful way to de-stress, relax, and let go of the tensions that we hold. It is when we are in a state of restful relaxation that we can heal. I offer several different styles of massage so whether you are feeling worn out and need relief for your tired, tense body or just simply want to give yourself time out to be pampered, you will find something here that's for you. I work from two locations: Dublin Holistic Centre and Greystones Yoga Studio. The treatment rooms are warm & welcoming- perfect for letting go and forgetting about the world outside...
