Acupressure €70
Acupressureis a therapy that uses precise finger placement and pressure over specificpoints along the body. These points follow specific channels, known as meridians- the same channels used in acupuncture. According to Asian medical philosophy, activation of these points with pressure (or needles) can improve blood flow, release tension, and enhance or unblock life-energy, known in China as"qi" or in the English-speaking world as "chi." Thisrelease allows energy to flow more freely through the meridians, promotingrelaxation, healing and the restoration of proper function. Acupressuretherapy can be used to relieve pain, reduce tension in muscles, improvecirculation and promote deep states of relaxation. It is often done by massagetherapists and other bodyworkers, but can also be learned as a technique to bedone oneself. Individuals can be treated, then trained in various self-careapplications and pressure-point formulas for specific conditions. These includenausea and vomiting, motion sickness, headaches, neck and back pain, as well aschronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, mental and emotional stress, even addictionrecovery and learning disorders.
Stop Smoking - Alternative Treatment €70
Because of acupuncture’s success in helping people quit smoking, it has a rapidly growing number of converts. In fact, in the US, acupuncture is often a court-mandated treatment for drug addicts because of its ability to reduce cravings and alleviate withdrawal symptoms such as irritability, anxiety and difficulty concentrating.
Anxiety - Alternative Treatment €70
At New Leaf Acupuncture, Dublin, we recognise that anxiety and stress can manifest itself in the body in many ways – sleep disorders, gastrointestinal issues, immune system weakness, pains in the body, etc. We look for and treat the root of their cause. Acupuncture can help to reverse the above changes. It increases serotonin production while also releasing the body’s natural pain- killers, endorphins and enkephalins and decreases cortisol secretion. Patients report feeling more relaxed and focused after an acupuncture session. As the treatments continue, patients often notice that “things that used to really bother me no longer do.”

Acupressure €45 - €60
Acupressure [from Latin acus "needle" + pressure] is an alternative medicine technique similar in principle to Acupuncture. It is based on the concept of life energy which flows through "meridians" in the body.  I n treatment, physical pressure is applied to trigger points with the aim of clearing blockages in these meridians. Pressure may be applied by hand, by elbow, or with various devices. Acupoints used in treatment may or may not be in the same area of the body as the targeted symptom. The Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) theory for the selection of such points and their effectiveness is that they work by stimulating the meridian system to bring about relief by rebalancing Yin, Yang Blood and Qi (also spelled "chi"). This theory is based on the paradigm of TCM Many East Asian Martial Arts also make extensive study and use of acupressure for self-defense and health purposes (Tui Na). Martial artists regularly massage their own acupressure points in routines to remove blockages from their own meridians, claiming to thereby enhance their circulation and flexibility and keeping the points "soft" or less vulnerable to an attack.

Rating from 1 Review Very happy with the treatment so farMarina, Ireland, 09 Jul 16

I have a chronic problem- migranes, and also a short term problem- vertigo after an illness and travel. My regular GP prescribed me Stemetil which made me feel worse and there was no other solution available so I turned to Eastern medicine. I was impressed how professional and gentle Cyril was and it relaxed me a lot straight away. Although I dont like needles or pain he made the experience as pleasant as possible. The atmosphere in the room is very serene and I found that my needs were fully accommodated. Vertigo was gone after first session so I decided to continue to improve my overall Chi. Very happy with the treatment so far.

Acupressure €10 - €40
Acupressure is a good alternative for anyone suffering from a phobia of needles as it follows the same principle as acupuncture. It works by stimulating the same acupuncture points on the surface of the body but instead of using needles, the practitioner will apply pressure with the hands. Acupressure is an effective method of improving blood circulation and repairing tissue damage throughout the body. Via nerve stimulation acupressure can induce relaxation and improve skin tone, ease tension in muscles and joints, repair facial lymph damage and generally tone the body. For this reason it is often used as a facial beauty therapy. Acupressure has also seen considerable success in curing insomnia, lessening fatigue and dispelling back and joint pain.
Holistic Health Consultation free
Holistic medicine is now used all over they world. What this means for you is that each part of your physical, emotional and spiritual dimensions are equally important an imbalances in any of these areas can contribute to illness. Holistic medicine considers a person’s mind and body, diet and exercise, lifestyle and relationships, work and leisure, achievements and problems. Whether you have a pain in your leg, a headache, or are suffering from stress Chinese Medicine follows the holistic principle. Chinese medicine states that illness results when there is disharmony in the body, or when something is out of balance. The concept of organs is different to that of Western medicine. In Chinese medicine organs are viewed according to their perceived functions, rather than literal functions. In Care Cure Clinics we say that the enlightened person eats when hungry and sleeps when tired. This means living in harmony with the energy of the seasons and with the particular requirements of mind and body, which empowers you to influence your own health destiny.
Reflexology up to €40
Reflexology is a gentle non-invasive therapy based on the principle that there are reflexes in the feet, hands and ears that correspond to every organ gland and system in the body. By stimulating these reflexes, reflexology encourages deep healing and tranquil relaxation. This therapy is particularly beneficial for joint mobilisation, migraine, sinus, digestion, back problems and stress related conditions as it discharges negativity and stimulates the body’s own immune system for self-healing. It can also enhance general well-being so why not book yourself a treat and pop into your local Care Cure Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine for a soothing reflexology session. Sessions typically last about 35 minutes and prices vary with time allowed for treatment.
