Dr Kathryn Charleton is the best dentist I have ever been to. In 46 years visiting numerous dentists, and across various countries, I have never had such a pain-free dentist experience. She numbed my cheek and gum with a local anaesthetic on a cotton wool pad before gently injecting my gum with anaesthetic, and I never even felt the needle go in or anything else for that matter which is highly unusual. With other dentists, I would feel the needle go in and also the sting when the anaesthetic was injected, which is highly unpleasant to say the least, but with her I felt absolutely nothing. She performed a root canal on a molar with difficult curved canals, which is most people's worst nightmare. However, with Dr Charleton, this was the easiest procedure I have ever had and I can assure anyone who is afraid of dentists (as I usually am), you have absolutely nothing to be anxious about. Her assistant nurse Tara is also a gem. I travelled over 3hrs (round trip) to see Dr Charleton and I am going back again for more treatment, which may give you some indication of what a fantastic dentist she is. The fees are very reasonable, all the staff and receptionists are friendly and very professional. I would give this practice and Dr Charleton a hundred-star rating if I could, and I am usually very conservative with any praise. So if you are looking for a dentist and practice that really is outstanding, I cannot recommend them highly enough!

Excellent place. Came for an implant, extraction and other bits and bobs. Massively nervous about the procedures but Dermot and the team put me right at ease. If you have a fear of the dentist like I did, it will all soon melt away when you meet Ian. He put me at ease straight away. He is the nicest man/dentist I have met. He fixed all my problems and made me feel relaxed even though I was so anxious. He is very professional and gentle. I highly recommend him. He even had me laughing, not something I ever thought I would do in a dentist's office. 11 out of 10. Thank you so much from your nervous patient in Canada.

18 Dental is always a pleasure to visit and that’s from someone who used to be terrified. The staff are so friendly and caring will help with any questions you have. Carmel is my dentist and I cannot praise her highly enough even has me going to hygienist. I’ve been a patient for a long time and can’t believe that I look forward to going to dentist.

Excellent clinic. Staff pleasant polite efficient and professional. Good value for money and staff able to reassure and make the patient feel relaxed and confident in the treatment they receive. I required a replacement tooth filling as an emergency, and was seen and treated within twenty-four hours. I am very happy with the excellent care at this clinic.

Last week I had an appointment with the Blue Apple dental hygienist, Tanya, and her professional approach and empathetic manner have changed my negative attitude to dental hygiene procedures. I had a previous unfortunate experience in a different dental practice - not entirely the hygienist's fault, but it meant that I approached last week's appointment with great reluctance. Immediately Tanya put me at ease and I found the whole experience painless and thorough. She took the time to explain all aspects in detail and gave me very useful advice. Fantastic dentist! I was a dentist phobic until I started going here but now am calm and happy to go, even after needing major work done. Highly recommended.
