Dapo and the team make for excellent preventive care and treatment. The reception and the premises are generally very reassuring and friendly. I actually enjoy seeing my dentist! I recently had an old filling repaired after a problem was picked up by the hygienist, Hannah. I have a payment policy with the practice which is very good value for all the standard reviews and treatment I have ever needed. Explanations are good and questions are welcomed. Over many years I have found Dapo and her colleagues to be kind, gentle, impressive clinicians with a consistent commitment to getting things right, which from a patient perspective is so welcome. I have complete confidence in Dental 397 and thoroughly recommend the practice.

My appointment was for a consultation with a view to having dental implant work done. My dentist had recommended two local dental practices and this was the second one I visited. Smile seemed to me to be doing the work over a longer timescale which I felt was better in order to allow sufficient time for healing which would in turn give a more viable result.

I was told by 3 high street dentists that they would not do the procedure until I had had a series of infections and would then have to be referred back to an NHS hospital. I was told I would probably only have my top wisdom teeth out, to stop them from pushing food down into my lower wisdom teeth. I was also offered fillings on my bottom wisdom teeth, but because of where they were and how impacted they were I found it difficult to clean them. I was a private patient at all of these dental surgeries. I was also finding it difficult to book a hygienist appointment. Fast forward to Contemporary Dental! I booked in as a new patient, and had an exam and hygiene appointment in the same visit! The x-ray showed how impacted my teeth were and Mark suggested straight away we look at getting them out asap. No worries, no stress, no talk of multiple infections or fillings... I told Mark I was a bit nervous about having them out, and I realise this has been caused by previous Dentists telling me all the horror stories. I was sedated, and I woke up after the procedure. I have had no bruising, no swelling, minimal pain. I'm just shocked- they're out, I'm feeling great. I got a follow-up call the day after, which I found lovely. I have been a private patient since my dentist retired and couldn't find an NHS dentist. I have found some dentists charge you private prices for really basic care and you rarely see the same dentist. I am very happy with Contemporary Prices because they go above and beyond with their care. I also feel by paying for the extractions I had, I can now look after my teeth better. The clinic is lovely, friendly, kind, approachable people. I'm very happy with the service and care I have received and I couldn't recommend Contemporary Dentist enough. It's nice to see the same dentist/ hygienist each time and to build a relationship. A very happy patient!

At last I've found a way of leaving a review! I have been going to Abi for hygienist treatment for about four years and she is always cheerful, careful and friendly. She knows to have the paste ready for me to deaden any pain! She's great! I also want to say how fantastic Stratos is as a dentist. I have had two appointments with him, the first being a check-up. The most recent was this week when I needed urgent treatment for a tooth that was aching. It turned out to be in a bad state and needed to be extracted. Following a very traumatic extraction five years ago at another practice (the dentist has fortunately now retired) I was very nervous indeed but Stratos put me at ease and it didn't hurt much at all - really! I was so grateful to him and his assistant.
