The De Necker Melville  practice is situated in the heart of South Africa’s most famous neighbourhood and beneath the historic Melville koppies. The Melville practice first opened during 1976 and was for many years the biggest solely-owned practice in the country. During 1999 the practice gained two new shareholders namely Dr Pienaar and Dr Nel. After 14 years of running the successful dental practice, they moved to a modified premises to accommodate an on-site dental laboratory and a team of oral hygienists. De Necker Melville offers a range of dental treatments  including dental implants, teeth whitening, crowns and bridges, root canal, orthodontics, periodontology to name a few.  The practice is operational from 07:00 to 17:00 from Monday to Friday and 08:00 to 12:00 on selected Saturdays . A dentist is always available on call after hours but please note that a call out fee will be charged for all emergency treatments. All De Necker Dentistry practices request that our patients kindly settle all accounts after the appointment and to then claim directly from your medical aid.

Most procedures are charged at medical aid rates, which we will claim back from your medical aid on your behalf. We accept most major medical aids including Bankmed, Discovery Health, GEMS, Bonita’s and Medihelp. We offer cutting edge dentistry with the aid of the most advanced equipment available. Both the dentist and dental hygienist are registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa and have been in private practice for more than nineteen years bringing a wealth of experience and knowledge.
