He is the Professor of the Faculty of Dental Medicine, University of Porto. He is the Clinical Director and founder of the Dental Clinic of Porto since September 1979. Admitted Dentists (OMD) with professional certificate No. 00001. Doctorate in Dental Medicine from the Medical School of the University of Porto in 1988 -first Doctorate in Dental Medicine in Portugal. He is the Director of the Laboratory for FMD-Prosthesis-UP (1991-2011). He is the Author of several publications in refereed journals and conferences in Portugal and abroad. He is the Former Clinical Director of the School of Dental Medicine, University of Porto. Teacher and member of the coordination of the Master of Oral Rehabilitation, Faculty of Dental Medicine, University of Porto, in the years 2003/2004, 2004/2005, 2005/2006 and 2006/2007 commission. Teacher and member of the coordinating committee of the Master of Implantology, Faculty of Dentistry, University of Porto, in the years 2003/2004, 2004/2005 and 2005/2006. Researcher of the Science and Technology Foundation. He is the Former president of the Ethics Committee of the FMD-UP. He is the Former president of the Council of Representatives of FMD-UP. He is also the Former coordinator of Group III subjects of FMD-UP.
