He did his graduation from Sardar Begum Dental College, Peshawar securing several distinctions. He completed his mandatory house job from Sardar Begum Dental Hospital, Peshawar. After completing his Fellowship of college of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan in 2009, he has held several senior faculty positions and currently working as Associate Professor at Margarita Institute of Health Sciences.

He also holds FFD RCS diploma from Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in April 2012. Dr. Adnan practices full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery including Implants, Extractions, trauma, bone grafts, oral cancer and orofacial pain management at Family Dental Associates. 

Dr. Afeef Zia is a highly accomplished Orthodontist and academician with over 15 years of clinical and teaching experience. He completed his Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from de'Montmorency College of Dentistry, Lahore, Pakistan, in 2003. He pursued and successfully completed his Fellowship in Orthodontics in Pakistan in 2010, marking the beginning of a distinguished career in orthodontic practice and education.

Dr. Afeef began his academic journey as a Senior Registrar in 2010 and steadily progressed through the academic ranks to become a Professor in 2019. He currently serves as the Head of the Department of Orthodontics at Margalla Dental College, Islamabad. In parallel with his academic career, he earned his Membership in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (MOrth RCS Ed) in 2015. He also completed a Master’s in Health Professions Education (MHPE) the same year.

His commitment to professional excellence led him to attain the Fellowship in Dental Surgery (FDS RCS Ed) and Fellowship of the Faculty of Dental Trainers (FDT FEd) from the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh, in 2020.

Dr. Afeef maintains a full-time clinical practice at The Family Dental Associates in F-10 Markaz, Islamabad. His clinical expertise spans the full scope of orthodontics, including metal, ceramic, lingual, and clear aligner therapies. He has a special interest in managing complex orthodontic cases such as cleft lip and palate, craniofacial syndromes, and orthognathic surgery cases.

In addition to his clinical and academic roles, Dr. Afeef has made significant contributions to professional development and orthodontic leadership in Pakistan. He has twice served as General Secretary of the Pakistan Association of Orthodontists (2013, 2019) and has been the Associate Editor of the Pakistan Orthodontic Journal for the past ten years.

He is also a dedicated advocate of continuing dental education. Since 2014, he has led the Academy of Continuing Health Education and Research (ACHER) in Islamabad, helping enhance the skills and knowledge of dental professionals across the country.

In pursuit of his passion for community service, Dr. Afeef founded the Cleft Care Foundation in 2023. The foundation provides comprehensive, multidisciplinary cleft care to underserved populations under one roof.

Dr. Afeef’s vast experience encompasses clinical excellence, interdisciplinary treatment planning, research, teaching, curriculum development, and mentoring future generations of orthodontists—making him a respected and influential figure in the field of orthodontics both nationally and internationally.
