Bio Dental Clinic

(805) 716-6093 Calle Guerrero #1225 colonia Del Prado, Reynosa, 88560
Rating from 8 Reviews Top of the line people, equipment and facilityMelvin, Fergus Falls, 15 Jan 17

Removal of fractured tooth, an artificial dental implant, and a bone transplant. This was the first of three procedures. After the implant heals then another appt for CAD-CAM fitting and then the last appointment to place the digitally machined artificial tooth. Top of the line people, equipment and facility. Very caring and professional. Fully digital panorex x-ray. Computerized local anesthetic that was the finest injection ever. I have a tough anatomy, most dentists find it hard to find the right nerve and inject too fast. Implants are made in the USA with lifetime warranties. The surgeon, Dr. Juan Francisco Ramirez Quitanilla, was assisted by another Dentist and a dental technician. Very professional team. Dr. Ramirez has degrees and postgraduate studies from Spain, Chile as well as Mexico. Great experience and very affordable. +++++

Progreso Smile Dental Center

Calle Reynosa y Coahuila 300 Altos, Nuevo Progreso, 88810
Rating from 32 Reviews My experience was fantastic, my teeth perfect, awesome pricesDebi, US, 06 Dec 16

Best dental work I've ever had! Dr Candonosa's work is outstanding. I had major dental work - implants, root canals, fillings replaced, crowns, cavities, broken teeth . .. he & Dr Zabaleta (oral surgeon) gave best injections & detailed attention to even the smallest issues. The quality of work is nothing short of perfection. Lorena, Dr Candonosa's wife, is exceptional - caring for the patients, communicating & describing various procedures, helping & assisting me in "finding my way around" Nuevo Progreso. They both worked 10+ hr days to accommodate me. Dr Zabaleta also provided treatment for wrinkles - expertly - best work I've had. Feel like I gained a new family - will make the trip to them for all my future dental needs. This clinic absolutely "goes the extra mile" for you. Fabulous prices, also. Can't say enough great comments about them! My experience was fantastic, my teeth perfect, awesome prices.

Rating from 26 Reviews I am learning about zirconia crownsJim, Houston, 07 Mar 16

From the Houston area and drove down for an initial consult. I have antibiotic stains but otherwise healthy teeth. I have been considering veneers for many years, but now am learning about zirconia crowns. Very comfortable visit. Dr Alvarez and team listened and evaluated my circumstances then offered recommendation, all the while attentive to my concerns and preferences. I hope to schedule next visit soon.

Cosmetic Dentist in Nuevo Progreso Dental Artistry

(866) 260-4253 Benito Juarez 217, Nuevo Progreso, 88810
Rating from 37 Reviews A wonderful artist of root canalsPatrick, US, 08 Feb 16

The Cinic of Dr. Rene and Dra. Nadia provides an excellent and affordable option to get major dental care from a highly professional staff whose storefront is tucked among the markets of Main Street, Nuevo Progreso. I went looking for a porcelain veneer but ended up choosing Zirconium crowns. In a single day, the staff prepared my teeth to receive the crowns. Dr. Carlos Fuentes, a wonderful artist of root canals, performed four of them and Dr. Alejandro Gutierrez completed the work of shaping and preparing eight teeth for crowns. It took a day for the crowns to be manufactured at the Progresso dental laboratory and on the third day, I was back to have the crowns installed. You can judge for yourself from the before and after photos they took, but I was more than satisfied by the transformation of my smile. In the US, I had priced this procedure at about $16,000, which reflects the terrible overpricing that exists across the country in mainstream American dentistry. My actual cost was one quarter of that amount, or about $4,000, which included a whitning treatment of my lower teeth to match the color of the eight crowns. The professional atmosphere of the clinic is like that of a teaching hospital. There are dentists and technicians at various levels of experience, and they function like a tag team where the younger dentists and technicians watch and learn from the more experienced ones. I felt that I was in very good hands the entire time. Of particular help was the day to day manager, Ricardo, who will work with patients of every circumstance in order to provide needed dental care. Stop by and get a free evaluation and judge for yourself.

Zirconia Crown $350 - $450
Now, the Zirconia manufacturers have worked on new crowns that are custom milled from solid blocks of Zirconia and baked at extremely high temperatures so that the completed crown is pretty near unbreakable. Zirconia is 100% biocompatible. It is inert, and the body does not reject zirconia so you don’t have to worry about allergies or adverse reactions.Zirconia Crowns have several advantages of both traditional Gold Crowns and Porcelain.Although Gold Crowns are well tolerated, last long and are a good technical choice, many consumers much prefer to have a natural effect that blends into the overall smile. Many also dont want metal in their mouths. In most cases the choice will be between a Porcelain Crown and a Zirconia Crown.Zirconia Crowns have several advantages of standard Porcelain crowns.Strength and Longevity: Zirconia is virtually indestructible whereas Porcelain crowns are prone to chipping. Crowns have a lifetime of around 10 years. Zirconia should last a lifetime.Cosmetic: Have you ever seen people with a large unsightly black line above their gums? Up until recently most crowns are Porcelain which is Fused to a Metal base. Over time, the metal begins to show more and more and the restoration can look opaque and monochromatic, with the tell tale dark grey line at the crown join. The Zirconia Crowns not only look more translucent, but are much stronger than the Porcelain fused to the Metal posts. The Zirconia crowns are milled from a single block of crystal and can be up to five times stronger than a porcelain / metal fuse.Less tooth Removal: In cases where their is not much room for porcelain build up - for example if an tooth abutment is already quite bulky, a Zirconia Crown can be used because if provides more strength in less volume than a porcelain crown.
Dental Crowns $150 - $400
A dental crown is a cap-like restoration used to cover a damaged tooth. Crowns can give support to misshapen or badly broken teeth and permanently replace missing teeth to complete a smile or improve a bite pattern. They may be molded from metal, ceramic, plastics, or combinations of all three. They are cemented in place and coated to make them more natural looking. Historically, a variety of materials have been used as tooth replacements. The ancient Egyptians used animal teeth and pieces of bone as primitive replacement materials. More recently, artificial teeth have been fabricated from substances such as ivory, porcelain, and even platinum. With modern technology, high quality tooth replacements can be made from synthetic plastic resins, ceramic composites, and lightweight metal alloys.
Permanent Crown $150 - $450
Permanent crowns can be made from all metal, porcelain-fused-to-metal, all resin, or all ceramic.Metals used in crowns include gold alloy, other alloys (for example, palladium) or a base-metal alloy (for example, nickel or chromium). Compared with other crown types, less tooth structure needs to be removed with metal crowns, and tooth wear to opposing teeth is kept to a minimum. Metal crowns withstand biting and chewing forces well and probably last the longest in terms of wear down. Also, metal crowns rarely chip or break. The metallic color is the main drawback. Metal crowns are a good choice for out-of-sight molars.Porcelain-fused-to-metal dental crowns can be color matched to your adjacent teeth (unlike the metallic crowns). However, more wearing to the opposing teeth occurs with this crown type compared with metal or resin crowns. The crowns porcelain portion can also chip or break off. Next to all-ceramic crowns, porcelain-fused-to-metal crowns look most like normal teeth. However, sometimes the metal underlying the crowns porcelain can show through as a dark line, especially at the gum line and even more so if your gums recede. These crowns can be a good choice for front or back teeth.All-resin dental crowns are less expensive than other crown types. However, they wear down over time and are more prone to fractures than porcelain-fused-to-metal crowns.All-ceramic or all-porcelain dental crowns provide the best natural color match than any other crown type and may be more suitable for people with metal allergies. However, they are not as strong as porcelain-fused-to-metal crowns and they wear down opposing teeth a little more than metal or resin crowns. All-ceramic crowns are a good choice for front teeth.Temporary versus permanent. Temporary crowns can be made in your dentists office whereas permanent crowns are made in a dental laboratory.

Dr. Alejandro Benitez Dental Clinic

227 Avenida Benito Juarez, Nuevo Progreso, 88810
Rating from 84 Reviews It was a great experience. Wonderful and pain freeDiana, US, 12 Dec 16

I had a pain free root canal with a pin put in place to stabilize sthe tooth and crown. After permanent crown was put in place I had impressions done for a partial. I go back tomorrow to have it fitted. I wasn't a candidate for implants. After having xrays a partial was the only option. Dr.Benitez and Dr.Susez were professional, courteous and friendly. The office and exam area were bright and spotless. Abby at the front desk will translate anything you don't understand . She is friendly, out going and ready to help. I would recommend this office to my family and friends and will make the 1700 mile trip for future dental work. Prices that were quoted before any work was done was very reasonable. I was quoted 8235.00 US at home and was charged 900.00US dollars here. It was a great experience. Wonderful and pain free

Zirconia Crown $350 - $370
Zirconium crowns and bridges are so strong they can be used anywhere in the mouth. Zirconium crowns can withstand the biting pressure of the front teeth as well as back teeth grinding. The look of zirconium crowns and bridges is so close to natural teeth that it is hard to tell the difference and it is this quality which makes it very useable within dental work. Zirconium crowns can be fixed using traditional dental cements. Zirconium crowns have quickly become the preferred material for dental crowns. Zirconium is a very strong substance that can endure wear and tear of everyday use. When looking at Zirconium crowns from an aesthetic point it is clear and very similar to a natural tooth and reflects light the same way. This may be important if your new crowns are on the front of your mouth and it is particularly relevant in cases where the crown will be seen next to the natural teeth.

Texas Dental Clinic

(805) 242-4666 Ave Benito Juárez 119, Nuevo Progreso, 88810
Rating from 52 Reviews Very professional, staff and clean facilityJaade, US, 08 Apr 18

Met with the dentist and discussed work needing to be done on Tuesday, April 2nd. Had some work done on Thursday and additional work on Friday. So far I am pleased with the work done. I will write another review after crowns are put on in 3 months. Very professional, staff and clean facility.

Zirconia Crown from $400
Zirconium is rapidly becoming the material of choice for dental crowns. It is a remarkably robust material able to withstand the wear and tear of everyday use. More importantly however, it has a translucency that is very similar to a natural tooth. Light is reflected from a Zirconium crown in much the same way.
Porcelain Crown from $220
All-ceramic crowns are just that. They are fabricated in a fashion where their entire thickness is porcelain (or some other type of dental ceramic). All-porcelain crowns been placed by dentists for many, many decades. More recently, a number of engineered ceramics have been developed for this purpose.
