Periodontitis Treatment
Since when have not been to the dentist?THE MOUTH BODY CONECCTIONAmerican Academy of Periodontology launched an effort to educate the public about new findings which support what dental professionals had long suspected: Infections in the mouth can play havoc elsewhere in the body. For a long time it was thought that bacteria was the factor that linked periodontal disease to other infections in the body, however, new research demonstrates that inflammation may link periodontal disease to other chronic conditions.Research has shown, and experts agree, that there is an association between periodontal diseases and other chronic inflammatory conditions, such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease and Alzheimer’s disease. Therefore, treating inflammation may not only help manage periodontal diseases but may also help with the management of other chronic inflammatory conditions. When an inflammatory condition is suspected or diagnosed, it is important to consult with both a general physician and a dental health professional, such as periodontics. Sometimes the only way to detect periodontal diseases is through a periodontal evaluation. A periodontal evaluation may be especially important if you: Have a high risk for periodontal diseases. Take the AAP risk assessment test.Have heart disease, diabetes, respiratory disease or osteoporosis, or are thinking of becoming pregnant.Have a family member with periodontal disease. Research suggests that the bacteria that cause periodontal disease can pass through saliva. This means the common contact of saliva in families puts children and couples at risk for contracting the periodontal disease of another family member.Have a sore or irritation in your mouth that does not get better within two weeks.Gum Disease and Diabetes; People with diabetes are more likely to have periodontal disease than people without diabetes, probably because diabetics are more susceptible to contracting in

Dental Implants
Our Implants treatment includes the  implant placement , temporary crown, final crown, core, buildups & abutments. A dental implant is an artificial tooth root that a periodontist places into your jaw to hold a replacement tooth or bridge. Dental implants are an ideal option for people in good general oral health who have lost a tooth or teeth due to periodontal disease, an injury, or some other reason. While high-tech in nature, dental implants are actually more tooth-saving than traditional bridgework, since implants do not rely on neighboring teeth for support. Dental implants are so natural-looking and feeling, you may forget you ever lost a tooth. You know that your confidence about your teeth affects how you feel about yourself, both personally and professionally. Perhaps you hide your smile because of spaces from missing teeth. Maybe your dentures dont feel secure. Perhaps you have difficulty chewing. If you are missing one or more teeth and would like to smile, speak and eat again with comfort and confidence, there is good news! Dental implants are teeth that can look and feel just like your own! Under proper conditions, such as placement by a periodontist and diligent patient maintenance, implants can last a lifetime. Long-term studies continue to show improving success rates for implants. What Dental Implants Can Do?Replace one or more teeth without affecting bordering teeth. Support a bridge and eliminate the need for a removable partial denture. Provide support for a denture, making it more secure and comfortable.

She made the experience manageable and I had no complicationsJenny, US, 08 06 24

Before I started my dental treatment I did extensive research and this clinic was highly recommended. As a woman in her 60s who inherited bad teeth I knew I would need a fair amount of dental work. Within the last several of years I have had the opportunity to experience the skills of Drs Ana, Valdes, Rosario and Alberto. In addition, the support staff are very professional. I cannot say enough about the expertise of the doctors. As an example, Dr. Rosario extracted four teeth earlier this year, which was not pleasant especially when two were infected. She made the experience manageable and I had no complications. Dr. Alberto explained everything during the root canals which was appreciated. And just yesterday, Dr. Valdes inserted three implants. This morning I have no pain or inflammation and very little tenderness. I recommend this clinic to everyone who has questions about dental work. Thank you for having a great set of employees who care and are respectful of their patients and their needs.

Periodontitis Treatment
When gingivitis is not treated, it can advance to “periodontitis” (which means “inflammation around the tooth”). In periodontitis, gums pull away from the teeth and form spaces (called “pockets”) that become infected. The body’s immune system fights the bacteria as the plaque spreads and grows below the gum line. Bacterial toxins and the body’s natural response to infection start to break down the bone and connective tissue that hold teeth in place. If not treated, the bones, gums, and tissue that support the teeth are destroyed. The teeth may eventually become loose and have to be removed.
