I’d gone with a friend to his appointment and thought the dentist did a really good job. Since I’m in Greece quite often for work, I chose to get treatment done here. Not only was it a lot cheaper than it is in Holland, but the quality is the same or even better. They quoted me for the root canal and crown before the appointment. The clinic is very private and the dentist spends a lot of time with her patients. This is not something I experienced before. She wasn’t rushed at all and this made me feel really comfortable.

A crown is a restoration that covers, or "caps," a tooth to restore it to its normal shape and size, strengthening and improving the appearance of a tooth. Crowns are necessary when a tooth is generally broken down and fillings won't solve the problem. If a tooth is cracked, a crown holds the tooth together to seal the cracks so the damage doesn't get worse. Crowns are also used to restore a tooth when there isn't enough of the tooth remaining to provide support for a large filling, attach a bridge, protect weak teeth from fracturing, restore fractured teeth or cover badly shaped or discolored teeth. To prepare the tooth for a crown, it is reduced so the crown can fit over it. Crowns require more tooth structure removal; hence they cover more of the tooth than veneers. Crowns are customarily indicated for teeth that have sustained significant loss of structure or to replace missing teeth. Crowns may be placed on natural teeth or dental implants.

Skourasdent Clinic

Vasilisis Sophias 48, next to Hilton hotel, Athens, 11528
Rating from 5 Reviews Severe gum disease which requires thorough cleanings four times a yearKostas, Greece, 05 Oct 15

I have been a patient of Dr. Skoura for over three years. Both he and his staff are courteous and professional, yet warm and welcoming. Dr. Skouras's office provides full dental care. I never wait more than five minutes for my appointments upon arrival at their offices and scheduling appointments is easy. Dr. Rosenberg and his dental assistants have handled the milling and implementation of a new crown for me, plus the general cleanings. Dr Skoura fastidious and leave you feeling like new. I have severe gum disease which requires thorough cleanings four times a year, yet Pam always makes me feel comfortable in her chair, minimizing any pain or discomfort every tiime. This clinic has a very friendly atmosphere and all staff are very welcoming to new clients, thank you for helping me achieve the results I was after. I will definitely be returning in future to visit the dentist.

Porcelain Crown from 450 €
Full porcelain crown or metal free crown made of zirconium is an ideal aesthetic way to rebuild teeth which have been broken, or weakened by decay or a very large filling. The crown fits over the remaining part of the tooth making it strong and giving it the shape of a natural tooth.  The procedure consists of the preparation of the teeth, the impression, the insertion of the temporary crown, the construction of the full porcelain crown and the insertion of the final porcelain crown.

Dental Crowns from 250 €
A dental crown is a tooth-shaped "cap" that is placed over a tooth to cover the tooth to restore its shape and size, strength, and improve its appearance. The crowns, when cemented into place, fully encase the entire visible portion of a tooth that lies at and above the gum line.
