What is Sedation Dentistry?

Sedation dentistry is performed for dental procedures for anxious patients by administering medications to help them relax. What are the types of dental sedation?

General anaesthesia is used for patients only in a hospital and not in a dentist chair.

Oral sedation, inhalation sedation, TENS and topical sedation are not painful. Intra-venous sedation and general anaesthesia need to be injected and patients may feel pain when the sedative is injected.

They should take all prescribed medications correctly. They should resume work at least one day after sedation dentistry. They should not smoke or drink alcohol for at least two days after sedation dentistry. They should follow all dietary prescriptions given by their dentist correctly.

Hi, I went to Braydon Dental Care in the month of Oct, 2025 fora routine check-up and cleaning. After due investigation and a denture X-Ray, I was advised to go for deep cavity filling to avoid further damage to the original denture. I was called for subsequent 5 to 6 appointments for further treatment. I was overwhelmed to see the conduct of staff on reception and the SUPERLATIVE denture treatment given to me by the different Dentists on every appointment. How are Dental Implants actually placed? First, implants, which looks like screws or cylinders, are placed into your jaw. Over the next two to six months, the implants and the bone are allowed to bond together to form anchors. During this time, a temporary teeth replacement option can be worn over the implant sites. Then once the bond is formed, replacement teeth, or bridges, will be created for you by Dr. Naji and attached to the anchors. After a short time, you will experience restored confidence in your smile and your ability to chew and speak.
