Orthodontic Retainers are dental appliances made of plastic and metal wires. They are fitted for patients after orthodontic treatment is complete. Their purpose is to help patients maintain the corrected position of their teeth.  Fitting an orthodontic retainer takes between 30 minutes and an hour.

I have had the most fantastic treatment, start to finish - the whole team is absolutely incredible - gentle, understanding, professional and extremely knowledgeable. Travelling to Bulgaria from the UK in desperate need of serious dental treatment - root canal, couple of crowns, multiple fillings that needed replacing, composite bonding on the top front four teeth (due to microdontia - I am 30 years of age and no dentist has ever mentioned that to me before, and believe me when I say that I've had more than enough dental appointments for a lifetime ). My treatment took just over two weeks. It has been over year and a half since I've had my treatment and I am still over the moon with my smile and the fabulous job that the whole team did. ---price is normally included in all brace/bracket treatments-----Orthodontic retainers are custom-made devices, made usually of wires or clear plastic, that hold teeth in position after surgery or any method of realigning teeth. They are most often used before or after dental braces to hold teeth in position while assisting the adjustment of the surrounding gums to changes in the bone. Most patients are required to wear their retainer(s) every night at first, with many also being directed to wear them during the day - at least initially. There are three types of retainers typically prescribed by orthodontists and dentists: Hawley, Essix, and Bonded (Fixed) retainers.

Dental Implants  
--per implant--- A dental implant is a "root" device, usually made of titanium, used in dentistry to support restorations that resemble a tooth or group of teeth to replace missing teeth. The first stage of implantation requires the implantologist to assess factors (eg. bone levels, medical conditions) which will decide whether the patient is a good candidate for implants (assessed with panoramic x-rays).If implants are viable, the implantologist will proceed to insert the implant/s into the jaw/s, suture(stitch) the area/s up and the patient will be re-called for a check-up appointment +- 6 months later. These 6 months are vital because the bone fuses to the implant giving it the best support/strength, the soft tissue (gums) are also healed in the area of implantation and the sutures keep the implants free of bacteria. The next stage is started whereby the patient returns after the +- 6 months and the crown/s (the visible part of the tooth) are prepared which will be constructed at a dental lab by dental technicians. The dentist will place temporary crowns on the implant/s abutments (the extension that protrudes out of the gum where the crowns will be fixed to the implant) so that the patient will have use of that area, the implants will be protected and for aesthetic appeal. The patient will then be re-called and the final permanent crowns will be placed.Please note: if you have many teeth missing in an area, this will normally not require you to have implants for every single tooth. For single or double tooth loss in one area-you will need individual implants but 3 or more in one area will require less implants.
