Rhinoplasty, also called a nose job, is a surgical procedure designed to improve the appearance of the nose. There are as many different shapes of the nose as there are faces.

Rhinoplasty, or nose reshaping, enhances the shape and appearance of the nose, and thus can significantly improve self-confidence. The best candidates for the nose reshaping procedure are people who want improvement but also have realistic expectations. This will identify any cosmetic and functional issues that are of concern to you. It is important that you inform us about any history of trauma or surgery to your nose or if you have any seasonal allergies or problems with your breathing. All of these are important factors when we discuss all the surgical options with you. Complications of rhinoplasty are usually infrequent and minor. However, there is always the slight possibility of infection, bleeding, or a reaction to the anesthetic. The rhinoplasty surgery is usually performed using the "closed" technique, where incisions are placed inside the nose and therefore are not visible. Occasionally, it may be necessary to use the "open" approach; this is done with a small incision at the base, or columella, of the nose. This technique allows for better visualization of certain internal structures of the nose, and the small scar is practically invisible.
