Dr.
Yigit Ozer Tiftikcioglu has graduated from Hacettepe University Medical School
in 1999.
He had obtained certification as a specialist
in Hand Surgery in 2011 and as a specialist in Oral Maxillofacial Surgery in
2012.
He became an Associate Professor of Plastic Surgery
in June 2011.
He became a Professor of Plastic, Reconstrutive and
Aesthetic Surgery in February 2017.
He succeeded in both written and oral exams of the
European Board of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery in 2017. After
becoming board-certified, he was also invited to take part in the exams as an
examiner in the following years. He has been a member of the board of examiners
since 2018.
He has been an active researcher in the field of
Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery throughout his career. He has
over 40 academic articles published in International Medical Journals, in
addition to over 20 academic articles in Turkish Medical Journals. He has participated
as editor, co-editor or chapter author of several books on Plastic,
Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery. He has given more than 180 scientific
presentations in both National and International meetings. He is a respected member
of the Turkish Society of Plastic Surgeons and he is frequently an invited
lecturer in scientific meetings and training courses.
He is an active member of Turkish Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery Association; Turkish
Society of Aesthetic Surgery; European Board of Plastic, Reconstructive and
Aesthetic Surgery; Turkish Society for Reconstructive Microsurgery;
International Society of Aesthetic and Plastic Surgery; Turkish Society of Hand
Surgery; Turkish Society of Nasal Aesthetic Surgery.
His main area of interest in reconstructive surgery
is Breast Reconstruction after Breast Cancer Surgery and Maxillofacial
Reconstructive Surgery.
His main areas of interest in aesthetic surgery are
aesthetic nose surgery (rhinoplasty) and aesthetic breast surgery (breast
augmentation, breast lift and breast reduction).
