Gynecomastia (no liposuction only excision) paid £750 (Around 1,100,000 Korean won) - was successful. Went to Evita clinic and it was definitely the most welcoming and comfortable of all clinics I visited that day. Leading up to my appointment I had a large number of questions (I sent via email) and only Evita Clinic answered them all in great detail and the most swiftly.
After my appointment, I literally booked and got the surgery the next morning. Tip: if you're going abroad for treatment, try to look somewhat native and speak the native language because then the clinics will not hugely overcharge you and will be more genuine. Also if you have true Gynecomastia, don't let anyone persuade you to just have liposuction, get the incision. I was very lean around 10% BF when I had the surgery - so I didn't need the lipo, lipo isn't necessary for everyone.
Description of the post-op pain and the appearance of the nipple:
The surgery was painful (not super painful, but still not as unpainful as everyone seems to say, was definitely in significant pain) the following 2 days after the surgery. Then it got a lot better, by the 14th day the pain was basically gone. My right nipple you can barely notice that I had surgery on it, my left you can if you look closely. The wound on my left nipple had reopened sometime between the 4th - 7th day of post-op (I'm writing this from 5 weeks post-op). Even after 5 weeks, if you press on the nipples there is definitely a slight pain, but after a few months, I'm sure this will disappear. I am very happy with the results, and can actually wear nice well-fitted t-shirts etc. and not feel embarrassed when taking my top off.
.*. Again, don't let the surgeon tell you that you don't need excision for true gynecomastia - one clinic I visited told me this (thank god I went to 5 other clinics and they all told me differently)
.*. Try to not to look like a health tourist when visiting the clinics, they will probably charge you more. (Not actually sure how you would do this if you're not able to speak their language fluently, luckily I could)
.*. This may apply only to excision and no liposuction surgery:
- After surgery, try not to stretch the chest area at all/do any movements with the arms for around 5-7 days post op. (Especially the first 2-3 days barely move the arms at all). This will be very uncomfortable, but this is what caused my left wound to open, and now it has a much more visible scar than my right. I could only get into the low bar squat position with my shoulders 14 days post op because it would stretch my chest too much.
.*. Exercise the chest area once you feel comfortable doing so, this will help the nipple look better (and may reduce dimpling if this occurs). Gynecomastia - only excision, no liposuction for around £750 (1,100,000 won) - was very successful. The surgeon was the most genuine out of all the ones we visited in Seoul, and gave the lowest price by far. We visited 5 different places that day and Evita clinic was definitely the most welcoming and comfortable of them all. Leading up to my appointment I had a large number of questions (I sent via email) and only Evita Clinic answered them all in great detail and the most swiftly. After my appointment I literally booked and got the surgery the next morning. After the surgery, I continued to have many queries and they were answered similarly quickly and in detail.
5 weeks post op and you can barely notice any scarring. Very happy with the results.
Other clinics said I would need liposuction too (one even said I'd only need liposuction), but I'm glad I chose Evita, they knew what they were doing, and after doing some research found that this is the best way for the glandular removal for someone with little body fat.
