Andrew Smith is the most wonderful surgeon I've ever met. With impeccable bed side manner he is kind and generous, and he is fully committed to his patients. I saw him for a gastric bypass in March of 2022 weighing 128 kilo and only 5' foot. I am so happy with my new body, now weighing 58 kilo and comfortably staying at that weight. He is extremely professional and his years of experience in the medical world shines through. I don't have a bad word to say about this man. Truly impeccable at his expertise

Had my gastric sleeve surgery done by Dr Lockie in 2018 and have never looked back. Sorry I haven't put a review on sooner. My husband and I were travelling around Australia at the time so they managed to fast-track everything for me to fit in with our travel plans. Loved every minute of my journey, from the original consult with the team, who were all so friendly and knowledgeable to the surgery itself. Dr Lockie was so amazing and fixed my hiatus hernia (which he found at the pre-op procedures) at the same time, which had caused me problems for years. My life has now changed for the better, I am just under 30kgs lighter and never regret a moment, every penny was a penny well spent. Best decision of my life. Both pre and post-care have been amazing. Thank you so much to Dr Lockie and your amazing team and look forward to our annual catch up.

The team have a well-founded understanding of obesity stigma and its consequences, and so, endeavour to create a non-judgemental, compassionate environment throughout the entirety of your treatment. The staff go above and beyond to ensure your surgery booking process is easy and understandable, and to provide all relevant information so that you can make the best informed decisions about your health and care plan. Dr. Justin Greenslade prefers to focus on effective long-term weight loss solutions, as opposed to temporary fixes. He offers the Roux-en-Y gastric bypass and laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy, along with a range of general surgical procedures, such as laparoscopic fundoplication for the treatment of reflux, gallbladder removal, and hernia repair. Dr Greenslade does not offer the “mini-bypass”, endoscopic sleeve, lap band or balloon procedures. All patients have access to unlimited bulk-billed follow-up appointments with their surgeon, even years down the line, and are encouraged to make use of those for at least 12 months following a bariatric procedure to ensure a smooth adjustment.  - Appointments are available via phone for interstate and out-of-area patients.  As of 2023, the Brisbane Bariatric Centre is bulk-billing all consultations with Dr Greenslade as long as you have a valid referral
