Caroline Lloyd has worked with the CBS since 2007. Caroline loves helping people achieve their weight loss goals. Caroline has a special interest in emotional eating and enjoys using her skills in EMDR to assist her clients resolve traumatic experiences and normalise their eating behaviours. Outside of work Caroline enjoys reading, gardening and riding her horse.

I have been working as a General Practitioner since 2003 and have been involved with CBS since 2009. I have special interests in Community Health, chronic disease management, mental health and Addiction Medicine. At CBS  I enjoy getting to know our patients and helping them find a path to weight loss that suits their personal situation.

Audrey studied at Monash University completing her MBBS, DRANZCOG and is part of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. Audrey is a General Practitioner with special interest in Bariatric and women’s health. When Audrey isn’t at work you will find her travelling, spending time outdoors, at the beach, reading and spending quality time with friends and family.

Anna has worked for the Centre for Bariatric Solutions for many years. As a result Anna has a wealth of knowledge specialising as an Emergency Physician. Anna consults at a number of CBS satellite clinics. In Anna’s spare time you will find her reading books, watching movies, bushwalking and making things.

Karina completed a Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery at Monash University. Karina is part of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. Karina is a General Practitioner with special interest in weight loss management, women’s and bariatric health, chronic disease management and surgical assisting. When Karina isn’t busy assisting in surgeries or consulting she will be running around after the children or spending quality time with family and friends.

Helen has worked with individuals who have had weight loss surgery since the year 2000. Helen enjoys helping individuals become the best version of themselves, by coaching them to eat a little of everything guilt free and to maximize their partnership with their weight loss surgery.

Lisa graduated form The Australian college of Applied Psychology as a Counsellor in 2015 and holds a Graduate Diploma in Human Nutrition from Deakin University, she is a registered counsellor with the Australian Counselling Association. 

Lisa has focused her career on treatment for navigating disordered eating, negative body image, poor relationships with food, low self-esteem, depression, anxiety and trauma. Lisa works exclusively with weight and body image concerns and is passionate about fighting social stigma and empowering individuals to achieve their surgery goals.

Libby is an Accredited Practicing Dietitian with 35 years clinical experience. She specialises in bariatric surgery, gastroenterology, and food intolerances. Libby also spent time at St. Mark’s hospital in London, a specialist international referral centre for complex gastrointestinal disorders. She finds great satisfaction in supporting and partnering with people, and in helping them achieve their maximum potential and enjoyment of food.

Andrew Smith is an Upper Gastro-intestinal specialist general surgeon. He trained in surgery at The Alfred in Melbourne, becoming fully qualified in 1996. Post graduate training was undertaken in the U.K. for a further 2 years to obtain expertise in laparoscopic and resectional upper GI surgery.

His particular areas of interest include laparoscopic surgery, bariatric and anti-reflux surgery, gallstones and hernia surgery.

Andrew has been working in bariatric surgery for more than 20 years. Surgery is done at Cabrini Hospital in Malvern, and some more minor procedures at Glen Iris Private.

Andrew is happy to see patients who wish to have Lap-band surgery, Sleeve Gastrectomy, Gastric Bypass and the endoscopic procedure of intragastric balloon.

Mr Andrew Packiyanathan is an upper gastrointestinal surgeon with a special interest in bariatric (weight loss) surgery. He specialises in the entire range of bariatric procedures (including sleeve gastrectomy, bypass and revisional bariatric surgery)

After graduating from Monash University in 2003 he underwent residency and surgical training at Monash Health. Andrew completed surgical training in 2013 and continued post fellowship training in oesophagogastric and bariatric surgery at the Alfred Hospital from 2014 to 2016.

Andrew currently works at Alfred Health as a surgeon attached to the oesophagogastric and bariatric unit. He also contributes to the acute general surgery and trauma surgery service.

Andrew operates privately at The Avenue Hospital in Windsor.

Damien is an upper gastrointestinal and bariatric surgeon. He graduated from University of Melbourne in 2002 and has been a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons since 2012. His major clinical interests are in weight loss surgery, reflux oesophagitis and cancers of the stomach and oesophagus. He has published in all these areas. He is a consultant surgeon at The Alfred Hospital and is Adjunct Lecturer in Surgery in the Monash University Department of Surgery. He is pleased to see and advise people seeking the Lap-Band procedure, sleeve gastrectomy or endoscopic options for weight loss.

Stewart Skinner is an Adjunct Senior Lecturer in the Monash University Department of Surgery, Alfred Hospital. He currently has appointments as a Visiting Surgeon at The Alfred and Frankston Hospitals. His private hospital appointments are at Cabrini, the Avenue and Peninsula Private Hospitals. His main area of interest is gastrointestinal surgery. He undertook post graduate training in colorectal surgery at The Royal London and St Marks Hospitals, London between 1995-1997. Mr Skinner has been a member of the Centre for Bariatric Surgery since 1998 and has been performing the Lap-Band procedure since that time. Mr Skinner specialises in the Lap-Band procedure.

Professor Wendy Brown is an Upper GI and Bariatric Surgeon. She is the Surgical Programme Director and Chair of the Monash University Department of Surgery at the Alfred Hospital.

In addition, she is the Clinical Director of the ANZ Bariatric Surgery Registry and Victorian State Upper GI Cancer Registry. Her sub-specialist interests are oesophago-gastric cancer, gastrooesophageal reflux disease and bariatric surgery. Her research interests include health outcomes from bariatric surgery, animal models of bariatric surgery and basic mechanisms underlying satiety.

She is Chair of the International Federation for Surgery for Obesity and Metabolic Disorders (IFSO) Global Registry, Past President of OSSANZ and ANZGOSA, Past Senior Examiner in General Surgery for the RACS, Past- Chair of the Scientific Committee of the IFSO. She was awarded the prestigious RACS John Mitchell Crouch Fellowship for Surgical Research Excellence in 2018.
