I could see the improvement in my own behaviour after a few sessionsAlbert, Ireland, 24 04 19

Aidan Lakes provided an excellent service from start to end. I was referred to Aidan through my work EAP program. I felt really nervous at the beginning since I was visiting a different provider for a long time before I met him. My life was a complete mess. The issues I had were: Separation, Court Hearing, Child Custody plus a second break up on the top of all. I arrived at Aidan clinic a few days after "The worst day of my life", Aidan was very easy to chat to and supported me until I was able to stand on my feet again. I could see the improvement in my own behaviour after a few sessions. I would recomend his services.

Shelly Flanagan Psychotherapy Services - Shelly Flanagan

Shelly Flanagan Psychotherapy Services

37 Wexford st, Dublin 2, Dublin 2, 2
Shelly Flanagan Couples Counselling and Psychotherapy Services.   Relationship Counselling is a process which offers a non-judgmental and confidential space in which couples can take some time to explore and understand their relationship issues from a deeper perspective. Relationship Counselling is recommended for couples that are experiencing significant disruption and problems and are experiencing a breakdown in communication or periods of anger and conflict, when, despite their best efforts, it seems difficult if not impossible to feel a sense of connection in the relationship. This can lead to a strong sense of hopelessness, loneliness and frustration, as both partners do their best to cope with the situation. Often attempts to sort it out and renew the bond both partners are longing for, lead to an escalation of misunderstandings, resentments, arguments and further hurts, which drive the couple even further away from each other and into a spiral of hopelessness and alienation from the person they yearn to feel closest to. I work with couples using the EFT (Emotionally Focused Therapy) model of relationship therapy, developed by Dr Sue Johnson. EFT is a short-term (8-20 sessions) structured psychotherapy approach to working with individuals, couples and families. Research studies find that most couples move from distress to recovery, and 9 out of 10 couples show significant improvements afterward. Psychotherapy is a process which offers a non- judgemental and confid

Ita Delogu MIACP - Counselling and Psychotherapy - Psychotherapy Clinic in Ireland

Ita Delogu MIACP - Counselling and Psychotherapy

(087 2520061) Butterfield Avenue, Rathfarnham, Dublin 14
Welcome.  Sometimes being human isn't easy!  We can often find ourselves wondering what it's all about.  Finding answers to our questions can be difficult and sometimes when we are unsure it is a welcome relief to share feelings and ideas.  Often this is a daunting prospect and this is why I always work at the clients pace.  As people it is inevitable that we meet stresses and strains on our life journey.  Exploring and having a better understanding can help us to move forward, can help us to be less hard on ourselves and others, can help us to mind ourselves better in the face of adversity either past or present.  If you feel stressed, anxious, confused, depressed, at a crossroads, lost, lack confidence or are in the grip of unresolved trauma, an initial assessment may help.  It's good to talk and feel confidentially heard without judgement.   Ita is fully qualified holding a BA (Hons) in Counselling and Psychotherapy and a fully accredited member of the Irish Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy.  Therapy takes place in well managed, safe environments located in Rathfarnham and Lower Abbey Street.

Individual Psychotherapy €90 - €120
Personal therapy is a way in which an individual can address any issue in their lives that is causing them distress. Each person, in their own unique way, has the potential to overcome their present difficulties. Working regularly with a trained therapist in a safe and non judgmental environment can provide a setting in which someone  can engage constructively with their struggle and discover a more creative way of living with less emotional baggage to hold them back.
CBT - Cognitive Behavioural Therapy €70 - €90
What is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy? Cognitive Behavioural Therapy has been the most widely researched therapy. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is a type of therapy that involves addressing a person’s problematic thinking styles and behaviors. It is based on the idea that how we think (cognition), how we feel (emotion), and how we act (behaviour) all interact together. Specifically, our thoughts determine our feelings and our behavior. Therefore, negative thoughts can cause us distress and result in problems. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy helps people to develop alternative viewpoints in order to tackle their problems. Developing alternative viewpoints is the cornerstone of the CBT principle that there is always more than one way of seeing things and therefore a person chooses their own viewpoint. This type of therapy has been found to be helpful in: AnxietyPanic attackDepressionAcrophobia and other phobiasSocial phobiasBulimiaObsessive compulsive disorderPost traumatic stress disorderStressRelationship problems When we change the way we think for the better, this in turn, contributes to how we view and react to situations around us. It also helps to bring new clarity of thought to help make better decisions for ourselves and others.
