Psychoanalysis I am pleased with the result after just over one year and I feel much more confident.

OCD - Obsessive Compulsive Disorder Treatment €80 - €120
OCD is a very complex and debilitating disorder. Why do some people need to repeat actions which apparently make no sense? We can help you make sense of your OCD and its underlying unconscious causes. In this way psychoanalysis allows you freedom to manage your symptom.
Psychotherapist Consultation €80 - €120
In the first session your therapist will introduce themselves and ask you to tell them what’s on your mind. This can be quite daunting, but we are all experienced and are used to listening in a non judgemental way. Everything you say in the session is between you and your therapist and is totally confidential.
Counselling €80 - €120
Psychoanalysis, Counselling, CBT, Life Coaching are all forms of Psychotherapy. Psychoanalysis is a depth psychology addressing mental distress by understanding its underlying, unknown causes. Counselling is the provision of professional guidance in resolving problems. CBT helps you to manage your problems by changing the way you think and behave. Life coaching is designed to set and attain goals.

Rating from 9 Reviews She gave me some great coping mechanismsHilaryP, Dublin, 05 Jan 18

I have been going to Petra for almost two years now. I have always struggled with depression and anxiety stemming from childhood issues. When I went to see Petra I felt at rock bottom and was having difficulty with personal problems arising from certain events. After years of trying therapists and not liking anyone, I found Petra. Petra took me in and gave me the self-confidence to accomplish things I never thought I would be able to do. She gave me some great coping mechanisms, helped me understand what I'm feeling and why and taught me so much about myself. Petra is an accomplished woman and professional and I hold her in very high esteem. I wouldn't recommend anyone else. The clinic is lovely and friendly. It's a warm and inviting building and Petra's office is the safest place in the world to me.

Mary Hamill Counselling & Psychotherapy Templeogue - Psychotherapy Clinic in Ireland

Mary Hamill Counselling & Psychotherapy Templeogue

Orwell Park, Templeogue, Dublin 6w, 6w
Qualified support and treatment for all areas of psychological distress.  All clients are guaranteed confidentiality, compassion and a non-judgemental space.  I work on a One-to-One basis within a therapeutic relationship where both client and therapist interact as equals.  I provide both short-term and long-term therapy, as required.Everyday life events can sometimes cause unforeseen difficulties.   A focused, short-term therapy can provide support and a fresh perspective to help understand and cope with the impact of life changes.Long-term therapy provides an opportunity to address more enduring or repetitive problems that impact on our ability to thrive.  These often arise from unconscious processes and require the presence of another to bring to our awareness for resolution to occur. I qualified as an Integrative Psychotherapist from DBS with a BA(Hons).   This degree included a range of psychotherapies that allow me to tailor fit the therapy to meet the need of each individual.  Theoretical approaches included CBT, Person-centered, Attachment & Loss, Trauma & Childhood Trauma, Psychodynamics, Existential and Family Systems. Therapy is available for the following:Anxiety and GADDepressionBereavementFamily relationshipsBorderline Personality DisorderCommunicationsAbuse including Sexual AbuseTraumaPTSDUnresolved Childhood IssuesMary Hamill is a fully accredited psychotherapist and member of ICP, IAHIP & IACP.
OCD - Obsessive Compulsive Disorder Treatment €60 - €80
Integrative psychotherapy looks at the balance between the various aspects of our life.  OCD is where one aspect of our life is taking priority.  When we understand why this is happening, change is possible.Contact me for further information.
Psychotherapist Consultation €60 - €80
Psychotherapy offers the opportunity to better understand ourselves and how we live.  It can be the difference between surviving and thriving. Integrative psychotherapy does not try to fit the client into one type of therapy as it utilises many different therapies and can tailor-fit the therapy to the individual needs of each person.
CBT - Cognitive Behavioural Therapy €60 - €80
Exploring the interactions between our thoughts, feelings and behaviours is a well researched approach to therapy.Using CBT techniques to identify difficulties and make changes in our lives is very effective.  Contact me for further information.
