Dr Antony Kontos

Biography:
Podiatrist Antony Kontos qualified at The London Foot Hospital and School of Podiatric medicine in 1980. Mr Kontos has undertaken clinical teaching at University College Hospital, London and also lectured on courses at the Royal College of General Practitioners. He has a well-established private practice in Sloane Square and in the past has provided podiatric services to the City of London and Metropolitan Police. He has extensive experience in all aspects of podiatry, including bio- mechanics, management of the diabetic foot and day case podiatric surgery.

Dr Mark Davies

Biography:
He carried out his post-graduate training in and around London on the North West Thames circuit, gaining the FRCS (Orth) accreditation in 1996. In 1997 he worked for a year with the world-renowned foot and ankle surgeon, Terence Saxby, in Brisbane, and completed his training on his return at The Royal National Orthopeadic Hospital. Mr Davies was appointed as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon, specialising in foot and ankle disorders, at Guy’s and St Thomas’ hospitals in 1999. He has recently re-written chapters for Gray’s Anatomy and The New Aird’s Companion in Surgical Studies on foot and ankle conditions and has published extensively within his field. Mr Davies founded the London Foot and Ankle Centre in 2003 and is Clinical Director of the LFAC. Mr Davies now works full time at the LFAC, accepting referrals from all over the UK and abroad.

Dr David Redfern

Biography:
He completed his fellowship training at Johns Hopkins University and treats the full spectrum of foot and ankle disorders. He is internationally recognised for developing minimally invasive techniques in foot and ankle surgery, having the greatest UK experience in this field. He regularly lectures nationally and internationally, and has trained hundreds of surgeons worldwide in these techniques, including introducing them to Australia. He is a reviewer for several major journals including the Bone and Joint Journal. He is chair of the Scientific Committee of the European Foot and Ankle Society and has served on council for the British Orthopaedic Foot And Ankle Society.

Ms Rina Bimbashi

Biography:
University College London (UCL) in 2003 with a BSc (Hons) in Podiatry.. Since graduating she has worked in both NHS and private practice where her work primarily been in Biomechanics and Gait Analysis. Rina has experience in treating many musculoskeletal problems and she is well researched in all areas of orthotic therapy and footwear prescription from running shoes to every-day footwear. She has a special interest in treating athletes and assessing running technique and running footwear using video gait analysis.
