Mr David Barton

Job Title:
  Physiotherapist
Specialisations:
  Physiotherapy
Biography:

David has specialised solely in private practice physiotherapy within the musculoskeletal field since qualifying in 1995. In 1999 David went on to complete a Post Graduate Diploma in Manipulative Physiotherapy at the University of Auckland, which also coincided with his accreditation in Acupuncture to an advanced registration level. David first started working in the UK in 2000 and developed a successful city practice over the 9 years he was there. A keen sportsman himself David has worked with a number of semi-professional sporting teams and is highly experienced in the care of sports injuries both as a physiotherapist and as a fellow sufferer, after all spending so much time having treatment makes you an expert!

Neck and back problems are treated with his manipulative skills, which can be of great benefit especially when combined with customised muscle balance rehabilitation programs.  After 20 years of treating people David has an excellent knowledge of treating long-standing ergonomic and postural problems.    David can also carry out individual workstation assessments (WSA).

Denis specialises in running related injuries, neck/shoulder conditions and chronic low back pain. Regular clients include anyone from the avid weekend runner to the elite Olympic marathon athlete. Denis is trained in the use of medical acupuncture, spinal manipulation and the application of Kinesio tape. In addition to this, a functional movement based approach is used to assess and treat many clients before their return to sporting activity. Denis has also completed a Pilates teaching qualification from the Australian Physiotherapy Pilates Institute.

Here at Cobham and Weybridge Physio, Denis believes in treating people efficiently and effectively to allow the quickest return to an active lifestyle.
