About Charterhouse Physiotherapy- Cloth Fair

Caroline Rugman Grad Dip Phys MCSP

Biography:
Caro trained at St. Thomas’ Hospital and then worked with the father of Rheumatology, Dr. Jimmy Cyriax, before starting Charterhouse Physiotherapy sixteen years ago, first with a single City practice that then expanded with the introduction of a West End Branch ten years ago. She runs and works in both practices, specialising in acupuncture, RSI (or Work Related Upper Limb Disorder), Hyperventilation and musculo- skeletal disorders. Caro believes flexibility and a sense of humour quickly establishes a rapport between the patient and the practitioner, ultimately speeding recovery.

Darren Mackay. Bachelor Of Physiotherapy. MCSP.

Biography:
Darren graduated from the University of South Australia in 1998. Darren worked for a time in Occupational Rehabilitation in Sydney, before coming to the UK, where he gained much experience in the NHS, with time spent in Orthopaedics and Musculoskeletal Outpatients. Over the last few years Darren has focused on his work in the private sector, with a special interest in spinal conditions and shoulder dysfunction. Darren believes that movement dysfunction is the key to the development of painful conditions and focuses on movement control to help assist speedy recovery. He uses many treatment techniques, including acupuncture, manipulation, Pilates, deep tissue massage and joint mobilisation techniques

Suzy Reynolds Grad Dip Phys MCSP

Biography:
Suzy graduated 30 years ago from Keele University and worked initially in London at University College London Hospital, for 18 months, before going to work in South Africa for 5 years. She then returned to London, working for a West End practice for 2 years before joining Marks and Spencer Occupational Health Team. She was there part-time for 23 years where she developed a keen interest in Ergonomics and had a large input into their office move to a new site..Suzy also worked with people suffering from work-place stress, helping them with relaxation techniques. She has continued with her private work looking after many different musculo-skeletal conditions and has also done risk assessments on dancers from the Royal Ballet and various shows. She continues with her acupuncture for which she spent some time training in China, but uses it to complement her physiotherapy treatments.
