About Advanced Physiotherapy Centre - Blackheath Centre

Since graduating from King's College London in 1996 with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy, Chris has embarked on a successful career encompassing working in London teaching hospitals, occupational health and private practice. In 1999 Chris established his first private practice in Dulwich and over the years the business has gone from strength to strength. In 2000 Chris was appointed Head Physiotherapist at Blackheath Rugby Club where he has helped the Club achieve their current position in National League 1. Chris has since established private practices within the facilities at Blackheath Rugby and Better Body Shop in Sevenoaks.

Recognising the need for evidenced based effective physiotherapy Chris incorporated Advanced Physiotherapy Centres Ltd in 2005. Chris has developed and refined injury management protocols to ensure consistency of approach and service levels between our practitioners. Chris has also developed injury prevention, screening and rehabilitation protocols for our associate personal trainers at The Better Body Shop ensuring clients are able to exercise safely at optimal levels.

Chris has completed post-graduate qualifications in musculoskeletal acupuncture including the world-renowned Gunn-IMS technique.

Chris enjoys nothing more than helping patients with chronic pain problems where treatment has failed elsewhere. In his spare time Chris enjoys road-cycling, running and golf.

Dele graduated from Brunel University in 2011 with a BSc (Hons) Degree in Physiotherapy. Since graduating Dele has been working in the field of Musculoskeletal and Sports Physiotherapy and has experience in both primary care and in semi-professional football clubs.  Dele also currently holds the position of Academy Physiotherapist at Blackheath Rugby.
Dele is a qualified Sports Massage Therapist and Pilates trainer and he is also qualified to use acupuncture for pain-relief. Dele is currently undertaking a Master’s degree in Sports and Exercise Medicine at Queen Mary University in order to further advance his skills and knowledge base.
In his spare time Dele enjoys playing rugby and is currently training to compete in strong man events.

Emma Hunter

MSc Physiotherapy MACP Musculoskeletal & Sports Physiotherapist MCSP HCPC Registered Physiotherapist Emma graduated from Kings College London in 2004 with an MSc Physiotherapy. Since specialising in musculoskeletal physiotherapy she has worked as a senior physiotherapist in both the private sector and in one of London's top teaching hospitals. Working as a senior physiotherapist involves advanced treatment of a range of acute and chronic conditions including joint and spinal problems, sport related injuries and post-op orthopaedic and spinal rehabilitation. Emma has undertaken extensive specialist post graduate training in musculo-skeletal physiotherapy including Women's Health Physiotherapy. Emma is accredited by the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Women's Health and this allows Emma to treat those who suffer from pregnancy related musculoskeletal problems as well as women suffering bladder and pelvic floor problems. This treatment covers both antenatal and postnatal problems associated with pregnancy and/or childbirth in addition to gynaecological problems such as stress urinary incontinence, overactive bladder and pelvic organ prolapse.
