Dry needling is the westernised approach to acupuncture. It is used to reduce muscle tension in myofascial trigger points knots. The solid needles are considerably smaller than a hollow injection needle and rarely cause much pain. Research has shown that dry needling can reduce pain and improve patient recovery

Exercise rehabilitation is an important part of most patients treatment as it restores muscle strength and balance.

As part of your treatment it may be necessary to support an injured area. This is particulary common with ligamentous injuries.
