Marie Roberts

Biography:
BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy, BA (Hons) European Business MCSP AACP Chartered Physiotherapist and Clinic Manager Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy, Acupuncture, Hand Therapy and Reflexology Marie graduated from the University of Brighton in 2003 with a first class honours degree in Physiotherapy. She gained much musculoskeletal outpatients experience from working as a senior physiotherapist in various NHS hospitals in the South East (Canterbury, Ashford, Dover, Margate and East Grinstead). Marie has treated a very wide range of acute and chronic conditions. Marie started working in private practice in 2005 and has been working wholly in the private sector since leaving the NHS in 2009. Marie runs Harnham Physiotherapy Clinic and very much enjoys delivering a high quality service for her valued clients. Marie is a full member of the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (AACP) and the British Association of Hand Therapy (BAHT). Prior to starting her career in physiotherapy in 1999, Marie gained a degree in European Business at Loughborough University and worked in Human Resources for a multinational car manufacturer. When not working, Marie juggles running a business with a very busy family life with two young children. Marie hopes to get back to regular golf and tennis once she has some time to spare...!

Craig is a very keen footballer and sportsman who has come to specialise in the rehabilitation of sporting injuries as well as spinal conditions involving highly skilled manipulative techniques. 

After initially gaining a degree in Health, Exercise and Sport, Craig went on to gain a First Class degree in Physiotherapy in Bristol. Craig has also completed extensive postgraduate training on spinal manipulation as well as sports-related conditions including the shoulder, hip and groin. Craig is also trained in Acupuncture and is a member of the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists.

Craig is a “hands-on” therapist and has valuable experience both in private practice and in the NHS where he currently works in a senior and specialised musculoskeletal role supporting other less experienced clinicians within his team. He also runs a NHS clinic independently at a GP practice in Amesbury. Craig is very thorough in his assessment and treatment. Like all our expert Physiotherapists, he will look beyond the problematic area to work out why a condition might have evolved, resolve it quickly and help you to manage it longer term without recurrence.

28 years of experience in physiotherapy and is an extensively trained and accomplished clinician.   As well as 

completing her original physiotherapy training, Colleen has a Master’s Degree in Neuromusculoskeletal Therapy and is an accredited member of the 

Musculoskeletal Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (MACP)

.  In addition, Colleen has also been a university lecturer for 15 years working as a clinical specialist, teaching degree and post-graduate physiotherapy students musculoskeletal skills, movement therapy, rehabilitation and therapeutic exercise.

Biography:

BSc (Hons Occupational Therapy, MSc Hand Therapy, Accredited Hand Therapist and Advanced Clinical Practitioner in Hand Therapy.

Meg is an exceptionally accomplished, highly experienced and extensively trained Hand Therapist simply of the very best calibre.

Meg works in the NHS and is currently the Clinical Lead and Advanced Clinical Practitioner in Hand Therapy treating a broad range of upper limb conditions in both children and adults within the regional plastic surgery department. Meg forms part of the Head of Therapies team at Salisbury NHS and is service lead for the local Wessex Rehabilitation Centre.

Often delivering training to specialist Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists in the south central Wessex area, Meg is the lead coordinator for local specialist training activities run in conjunction with the British Association of Hand Therapists. Meg is also regularly involved in training events presenting as an expert hand therapist alongside highly reputed consultant hand surgeons.

This is very broad and comprehensive and ranges from the management of degenerative conditions of the hand and wrist right through to recovery from complex reconstruction after major hand or upper limb trauma, and recovery from nerve injuries including brachial plexus injury.

Biography:

BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy MCSP                                                                              

Chartered Physiotherapist specialising in rehabilitation and community care.

Since qualifying in 1996, Annabelle has a wealth of experience in a wide variety of settings including the management of post-operative orthopaedic surgery and recovery from complicated trauma and injury, as well as working with burns and plastics.  Annabelle has proactively prepared people preoperatively for planned joint replacements to facilitate the best opportunity for the optimal outcome thereafter.  

Her extensive career has recently been based in both NHS and private hospitals in and around Salisbury.  Annabelle has also worked at the Haslar hospital and Queen Alexandra in Portsmouth, as well as the William Harvey in Ashford and Watford General Hospital.                                                                                                                                      

When not working, Annabelle lives with her family in Salisbury and is a busy Mum.  When she isn’t planning building renovations, she may be found chasing her chickens!

Biography:

Jenny brings extensive experience including managing trauma and orthopaedics; post-operative surgical care; and specialist community elderly rehabilitation. Her diverse experience provides her with a truly expert capacity to manage the highly complex and sensitive needs of elderly clients and she is able to manage many of the aforementioned conditions and illnesses concurrently which always requires an effective and experienced holistic approach.

Jenny continues to work in the NHS in elderly medicine and rehabilitation.

Specialist Neurological Community Based Physiotherapist

Having been working in physiotherapy since 2005, Sheryl more recently has been supporting a broad range of people with neurological illness or injury in private practice. Sheryl is a very highly regarded and extensively experienced specialist neurological physiotherapist providing rehabilitation that is focused around each client’s unique needs and goals. Sheryl strives to be flexible and responsive in her approach that seeks to enable clients to achieve their potential and their best quality of life.

Sheryl has a degree in Exercise and Sports Science and Masters of science degree in Physiotherapy. In addition to diverse experience as a physiotherapist, she also has specialist training in functional electrical stimulation, ‘Bobath’ training, Parkinsons Disease warrior training and aquatic physiotherapy for neurological conditions. Sheryl’s approach to neurological physiotherapy is also supported by a sound knowledge of musculoskeletal and orthopaedic physiotherapy, combined with experience of the management of fatigue. Much time and effort is spent working closely with clients in their home environment and with carers and relatives in order to facilitate change and improvement to daily function.

During her time working as a Senior Physiotherapist at Glenside NeuroRehabilitation hospital near Salisbury, Sheryl worked with a wide range of highly complex neurological patients as a ‘key clinician involved in their care from assessment to discharge. Whilst this was incredibly challenging, the extensive skills and experience obtained during this time contributes to the highly expert clinician into which Sheryl has evolved.

Sheryl combines many diverse skills and experiences together with patience, determination, an aptitude for effective communication and her drive to provide the best quality of care for our clients and their families or carers.
