I had lens replacement surgery with Associate Professor of ophthalmology Dr Derda Oder at BHT clinic in Istanbul. From the initial contact with him to the end he was very down to earth, transparent, friendly, knowledgeable and compassionate. I had researched and contacted many surgeons. He suggested lenses that would be suitable for each eye and on examining me when I got there, decided one eye needed a different lens which was £150 less. He immediately informed me. He is an excellent surgeon and Hasan, his lovely, capable interpreter was there for me at all times. All the staff are very professional and attentive. The surgery went well and the aftercare was very good. On my last visit, Dr Derda said to contact them at any time if I have any questions or concerns, gave me lifetime lens passports and told me any time I was in Turkey I was to come and have a free assessment. Dr Derda is also very well priced and I’m absolutely thrilled to throw away glasses that I’ve been wearing for many decades. I highly recommend Dr Derda and his team. I had cataracts removed and lenses put in for my treatment. It was explain to me clearly what was going to happen and the price I would have to pay. I suffer from anxiety but after my talk and how helpful and understanding the whole team were towards myself I felt so much better. The treatment did not go a head until I was comfortable. I could not believe it was (PAIN FREE) ,bits of it were uncomfortable but no pain . I was given my medication and they made sure I knew how I had to use my medication before they let me go back to my hotel . Had messages once I got back to my hotel to make sure everything was OK. I can not believe how good my eyes feel. I can see so much more than I could when I was wearing my classes. Thank you team for a pain free treatment and I know my eyes are only to get better.

Hello - this week is one year since my treatment and I would like to share the experience. Everything from start to finish was made easy, professional and super friendly. I opened my first eye in the morning with clear vision, two days later the next. The only glasses I wear now are RayBans and that’s just to look cool. I contacted Dr Emir to get rid of my glasses. He said that a Multifocal lens would be more suitable for me. I came to Turkey and had this surgery. The driver who met me at the airport, the nurse at the hospital, the doctor were very kind. It has been 3 months since the operation and I am very satisfied. I enjoy reading without glasses.

I came from Finland for surgery with the doctor. As the surgery would be 1/5 of the price of what I would have to pay in in my own home country. I visited the doctor and he examined me and took the time to do all the proper tests to see if I needed the surgery or not. Turns out I had been misdiagnosed and there was no need for the surgery after all!! Though I did not need surgery, I can 100% recommend the doctor since he could have very easily said oh yeah sure let's do it, and just take my money! Overall the doctor was very professional and I could see that he had a lot of expertise and accumulated knowledge and it felt I could trust him. More than that the doctor’s assistant is amazing, speaks very good English, and provided clear and informed communication along the process. Very thankful for their efforts.

I just had an eye replacement surgery 2 days ago and I can already see the improvement. It is important to follow the post care (eye drops) as they say. Burak made this journey so much easier, I was freaking out because didn't know what to expect. He made me feel so calm and so helpful, answering all the questions without any hesitation.
