In this procedure, a strip of hair from the donor region is taken and the hair grafts are then dissected from it and implanted on the thinning or balding area. Sutures are then used to close the donor area. The area takes several days to heal. Even though it leaves a scar, one must understand that this scar will not be visible unless the person shaves his head.
