After we had experiences with fertility clinics in three different countries in Europe (two of them in the EU), we chose Next Generation Clinic (NGC) in St. Petersburg, Russia. Our choice was initially based on the fact that they offer a large database of donors. The donor count vastly outnumbers the count in similar databases we have previously seen, and the waiting time is much shorter. The database contains a great deal of details that can help you find the perfect donor - apart from customary height, weight, eye and hair colour, the database also includes, but is not limited to donor's photographs, samples of writing, and sometimes even the recorded voice of the donor. Donors are often already genetically screened, and the process of getting the biological material is significantly easier than in other places. Some donors have signed a specific type of contract with NGC and are ready to become a non-anonymous (open ID) donor when the child reaches 18 years old if that is something that is of interest to you as a potential parent. The clinic performs PGT-A testing and gender selection. They have asked us which we prefer - a boy or a girl. This type of service was far above the standard we had seen earlier. The price was around 9000 EUR in total for 12 eggs (where 2 are PGT-A tested and 3 embryos are guaranteed), all the tests, consultations and medicines. There is a pharmacy on-site, which we also recommend since the price of medicines is notably lower than in the EU. We were really satisfied with the treatment, and support. The manager of the international department, Alex Marinchev, was of utmost help to us and was reachable even during hours that most people would not be. The response time is very short and communication is easy, professional and to the point. When we tried to find medicine substitution, we had an e-mail exchange with Dr. Valentina Denisova literally every 5 minutes, while at the same time talking to the pharmacist. The clinic is located less than 10 10-minute walk from Sportivnaya metro station, so it is fairly easy to reach it from every part of St. Petersburg since public transportation is superb and taxis are very affordable. Whenever we travelled to St. Petersburg, the clinic organized our transportation to and from the airport at their expense and helped us with the best money exchange place. Clinic personnel were extremely professional and very efficient in everything they did. As far as we could tell, there were no offers of unnecessary procedures and we didn't have the feeling that we were a cash cow like we had in some other places. The clinic offered great care and a personalized treatment plan that was well-rooted in the care of the patient in the first place. All in all, an exceptional experience. At the moment it is admittedly a bit of a hassle to reach St. Petersburg from the EU, but that is no deterrent for us. We are planning to go for a second child since we are currently pregnant with a girl and we are hoping for a boy as well.
