keeping in touch every dayMark, Turkey, 16 05 26

From start to finish, Batuhan was fabulous, keeping in touch every day, meeting at the front door and explaining exactly what was going to happen during the operation. I had the Odyssey lens replacement in both eyes, 10 min each operation, no pain whatsoever, and within 24 hrs after the second eye was done had 20/20 vision. Dr Selim explained what the operation would involve, and all went to plan. Absolutely all the staff were fab, even the taxi drivers who were so punctual. Batuhan is such a lovely guy and put you at ease through the whole procedure and the Era Goz clinic 5 Star 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟 from start to finish. Mark South Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Overall, I am satisfied with the surgery and remain hopeful for the best resultsAbdul, UK, 12 05 25

I would like to thank Dr. Derda Ozer for my surgery and follow-up appointment, as well as Hassan and Zainab from the MDO team. I am especially grateful to Hassan, who served as my host, translating everything for me and taking care of me throughout the process—from the airport to the hotel and from the hotel to the hospital. I will always be thankful to them for my procedure and for being such excellent hosts. I was well taken care of by Dr. Derda Ozer, and the hospital was well-equipped, with all the necessary facilities. My surgery went well, and on the same day, I was transferred to my hotel. The following day, I had a follow-up appointment. Hassan took me on a tour of Istanbul, visiting Aya Sofya, the Sultanahmet area, and the Blue Mosque. I am very thankful to him for being a great host; he speaks excellent English, explains everything clearly, and is a genuinely positive person, and treated me like an older brother. Regarding my surgery, everything went according to plan like we talked about before my visit. As for the results, I am partially satisfied and still recovering, waiting for the final outcome related to my squint eye. I remain in communication with the MDO team and have been advised to give it three months, as recovery times can vary. I may consider future courses of action later on. If I achieve an 80% correction of my squint, I will be very happy. After my surgery, my eye still shows a slight deviation, and the size of my operated eye is still smaller than that of the other eye. Overall, I am satisfied with the surgery and remain hopeful for the best results. I would definitely recommend MDO, as they are a genuine clinic, and the hospital they use for surgeries has all the necessary facilities and is based in Istanbul. They are a trustworthy company that takes great care of their patients, and without a doubt, they are neither fake nor fraudulent. The staff and team are very honest and generous.

C3-R - Corneal Collagen Crosslinking with Riboflavin

Corneal Collagen Crosslinking with Riboflavin (CXL) Corneal collagen crosslinking is a safe, minimally invasive procedure designed to stabilize and strengthen the cornea in patients experiencing progressive keratoconus or corneal ectasia. The procedure involves applying riboflavin (Vitamin B2) eye drops combined with controlled ultraviolet (UV-A) light exposure to reinforce corneal fibers. Procedure Steps: Preparation: The eye is numbed using topical anesthetic drops to ensure patient comfort. Epithelium Removal (if applicable): The corneal surface layer (epithelium) may be gently removed to allow optimal riboflavin absorption. Riboflavin Application: Riboflavin drops are applied at regular intervals for approximately 30 minutes to saturate the cornea. UV-A Exposure: The cornea is exposed to controlled UV-A light for around 10-30 minutes, activating the riboflavin to facilitate collagen crosslinking. Completion: A protective contact lens may be placed to promote healing and comfort post-procedure. Recovery: Patients typically experience mild discomfort, sensitivity to light, and blurred vision initially, but these symptoms usually improve within a few days. Prescribed eye drops are used to aid healing and prevent infection. Benefits: CXL significantly slows or stops keratoconus progression, preserves vision, reduces the risk of corneal transplantation, and improves overall corneal stability. Risks: Although generally safe, potential complications include temporary irritation, light sensitivity, corneal haze, or infection. Such complications are rare and usually manageable.

RLE - Refractive Lens Exchange
RLE - Refractive Lens Exchange TL39803 - TL185749
Refractive Lens Exchange (RLE)Refractive Lens Exchange (RLE) is a safe and effective surgical procedure designed to correct vision by replacing the eye's natural lens with an artificial intraocular lens (IOL). This procedure is typically recommended for individuals with presbyopia, high degrees of farsightedness, nearsightedness, or those who aren't ideal candidates for laser vision correction. RLE is usually performed on an outpatient basis, allowing you to return home the same day. Procedure Steps: Preparation: Your eye will be numbed with anesthetic drops, and you may receive sedation to help you relax. Incision: The surgeon makes a small incision in the cornea to access the natural lens. Lens Removal: The natural lens is gently fragmented and removed using a technique called phacoemulsification. IOL Implantation: An artificial IOL is inserted through the small incision and positioned securely within the lens capsule. Completion: The incision typically seals naturally without stitches, ensuring rapid recovery. Recovery: Vision improvement is often noticeable within a few days, with full visual stabilization occurring within several weeks. You'll need prescribed eye drops to manage inflammation and prevent infection during the recovery period. Benefits: RLE significantly improves visual clarity, reduces dependence on glasses or contact lenses, and provides permanent correction for refractive errors, particularly beneficial for individuals over 50. Risks: Although RLE is highly successful, potential risks include infection, increased eye pressure, retinal detachment, or visual disturbances such as glare or halos. Such complications are rare and usually treatable if promptly addressed.

The Doctor and his team were extremely organized, and very detailedAmanze, Turkey, 01 02 24

I contacted the hospital at night requesting a possible surgery the next day so I could still catch my flight the day after. The Doctor and his team were extremely organized, and very detailed and ensured I had a successful surgery. I was able to catch my flight the next day out of Istanbul without any medical issues. I was booked for a free eye check during my next visit to Istanbul to confirm that my eyes were in perfect condition. Special thanks to Abdurahym who made our English-Turkish communication easy and to Prof. Dr. Ahmet Satici for diligently explaining and handling the process efficiently. Your team remains the best!

From start to finish, the entire experience exceeded our expectationsAntony, Germany, 19 06 25

My wife and I recently traveled from the United Kingdom to Turkey specifically for eye lens replacement surgery at Orbit Tip Merkezi, and we are so glad we made that decision. From start to finish, the entire experience exceeded our expectations. Dr. Sitki Eren is a highly skilled and experienced surgeon whose professionalism and calm, reassuring approach gave us complete confidence throughout the process. The surgery itself went smoothly, and the results have been truly life-changing for both of us. We are delighted with the improvement in our vision. A special mention must go to Burak, our consultant, who was absolutely outstanding. From our very first enquiry, Burak was always available to answer every question we had—no matter how many times we asked or how small the detail. His extensive knowledge, kind and patient nature, and genuine care made the whole journey so much easier for us. Traveling abroad for medical treatment can be daunting, but Burak was there for us every step of the way, making the entire experience smooth and stress-free. He is a true credit to Orbit Tip Merkezi, and we are extremely grateful for everything he did. If you are considering eye surgery, we would 100% recommend Orbit Tip Merkezi. With world-class surgeons like Dr. Sitki Eren and exceptional patient care from consultants like Burak, you’ll be in the very best hands.

C3-R - Corneal Collagen Crosslinking with Riboflavin TL75000 - TL125000
Corneal collagen crosslinking (CXL) is a safe, minimally invasive treatment used to strengthen and stabilize the cornea in patients with progressing keratoconus or corneal ectasia. The procedure works by applying riboflavin (Vitamin B2) eye drops and activating them with controlled UV-A light, which helps reinforce the corneal structure. Preparation: To ensure comfort, numbing eye drops are applied before the procedure begins.Epithelium Removal (when necessary): The thin outer layer of the cornea (epithelium) may be carefully removed to allow better absorption of riboflavin. Riboflavin Saturation: Riboflavin eye drops are applied regularly for about 30 minutes until the cornea is fully saturated. UV-A Activation: The cornea is then exposed to a controlled UV-A light source for 10–30 minutes, activating the riboflavin and promoting collagen crosslinking. Completion: A protective contact lens may be placed after the procedure to support healing and reduce discomfort. Recovery: Mild discomfort, blurred vision, and light sensitivity are common in the first few days and generally improve as the cornea heals. Prescribed eye drops help prevent infection and support recovery. CXL effectively slows or halts the progression of keratoconus, helps preserve existing vision, improves long-term corneal stability, and significantly reduces the likelihood of needing a corneal transplant. While the procedure is considered very safe, there is a small risk of temporary irritation, light sensitivity, corneal haze, or infection. These complications are uncommon and can usually be managed with appropriate care.
Intraocular Lenses TL30000 - TL140000
Cataract Surgery TL30000 - TL140000
Cataract surgery is a safe and proven procedure designed to restore clear vision for individuals experiencing blurred sight due to cataracts. During this operation, the cloudy natural lens of the eye is removed and replaced with a transparent artificial lens called an intraocular lens (IOL). The surgery is usually performed on an outpatient basis, meaning you can return home the same day. Preparation: Your eye will be numbed with special drops, and you may receive medication to help you stay calm and relaxed.Incision: A very small opening is made in the eye to reach the affected lens. Lens Removal: Using ultrasound technology (phacoemulsification), the cloudy lens is gently broken apart and removed. IOL Placement: A flexible, foldable IOL is inserted through the small incision and positioned securely within the lens capsule. Completion: The incision is typically self-sealing and usually does not require stitches. Recovery: Vision often begins to improve shortly after the procedure, although full healing may take a few weeks. Your doctor will prescribe eye drops to prevent infection and reduce inflammation during this period. Cataract surgery improves clarity of vision and enhances overall quality of life by helping you return to daily activities with greater ease. Although cataract surgery is highly successful, every surgical procedure carries some risks. Possible complications may include infection, bleeding, or changes in eye pressure. These are rare and generally manageable with prompt medical care.
