They should clean retainers using special products prescribed by the dentist. Some retainers can be cleaned using toothpaste while others require an alcohol free mouth rinse or denture cleaner.  Patients should not expose retainers to any form of heat.

I found Vivek a very professional and friendly dentist. He was new to the practice. I was a very apprehensive patient. I was very nervous. I have not been to a dentist in 40 years. All my teeth had to be removed from the hospital and I went to Vivek for dentures. That treatment is now coming to a close and I intend taking my special needs son to him. Receptionist was helpful with suggestions if the dentist is booked and busy. Arash Jafari, the dentist who treated me, explains procedures carefully and checks that I am comfortable with everything. All round a much better service than I received previously in London who were very good but not as good as this practice in Bexhill.
