Recommended by my father who had several implants carried out by Guy Barwell. Guy did a great job as well as supporting my anxiety levels without the need for sedation with his calming aura. He did not let me suffer a step-by-step explanation he got on with the job in hand just as I requested. He completed my implant process to the relaxing music of Led Zepplin’s Stairway to Heaven. The rest of the team was also great and formed a part of providing a superb outcome where we all worked together on choices. Receptionists were important too … that first part of the process and at the beginning of every appointment. Always there to answer every question posed and keep reception a friendly area. Absolutely amazing dental surgery, I very rarely leave reviews but this was life-changing. Dr Asani and his team are so nurturing and genuinely caring. I was completely traumatised by a previous bad experience somewhere else but this was the complete opposite experience and genuinely pain-free. No gimmicks, no bs no heavy aftersales and no unnecessary add-ons. I came away from my appt feeling so much more confident about everything. I would give more stars if I could!
I have been a patient for over a year now and have always been very happy with the care and attention given at each visit. Reception staff are always extremely polite and welcoming, which gives a calm atmosphere to the practice. Every dentist that I have seen at the practice always takes the time to explain the procedure and make you feel at ease, and as a nervous patient, this is very reassuring. I visited on Saturday for a consultation on composite bonding on some of my upper and lower teeth, and was very happy with the detailed explanations given by Mikalah for me to reach a decision to go ahead with treatment. She was extremely professional and knowledgeable on the subject. I would highly recommend BDC if you are looking for a practice that goes above and beyond in caring for its patients.
I was terrified about having a large abscessed tooth removed when I arrived at Smilekind in Boscombe. As soon as I arrived my surgeon, Dr. Bilal Fazil, came out shook my hand, and asked if I liked cricket. Odd, but what a different way to relax a clearly anxious patient. He took the time to explain exactly what he was going to do in a language I understood and continually reassured me it would all be fine. The injections of anesthetic were given painlessly and before I had even realized what was happening Dr. Bilal was showing me the extracted tooth. I needed some stitches, but again this was painless and not uncomfortable at all. He and his nurse Sarah, who kept talking and reassuring me were just amazing and I cannot praise them enough. If like me you are fearful of the dentist you really don't need to be or have anything to fear with these two. You really will be pleasantly surprised and leave a lot less stressed than when you arrived. I did!
If you go here, there is a bell to ring rather than just enter the premises. Why the receptionist didn't just open the door when I was trying to get in I do not know. I went for a consultation to see what the best option was for a missing tooth. You pay before you go. The staff were friendly. The dentist is lovely putting me at ease, explaining what he was doing whilst teaching his staff at the same time. Nice manner about him. He then took the time to show me what options were available to me and how much each would cost. The clinic was state of the art, modern with the latest tech to make the job easier. The view was stunning. I would recommend the experience to others.
I don't generally leave reviews, but felt compelled to after my appointment with Kellie yesterday for two front fillings. She was absolutely lovely, as was the dental nurse, and as a nervous patient, I felt totally relaxed throughout. To some people, my teeth wouldn't be ideal but to me, this has made the biggest difference as I feel I can smile and show my teeth again! I've been a patient with Crabtree Road for approximately 18 years and I recommend the practice to everybody as it's a very friendly place but also extremely knowledgeable and professional. Ideal for anxious people! 5 stars!
