I have been a patient of Dr Makhani for several years now and as a 66 year old have had some experience of dentists. He is a consummate professional and obviously up to date with all the latest technology. My latest visit involved a troublesome back tooth that had been giving me spasmodic pain and was slowly becoming worse. After a careful inspection Dr Makhani noticed a small crack in the tooth which made a root canal and filling pointless as the tooth would disintegrate. An extraction was on the cards but from the x-ray a curved root could be seen making that potentially problematic. Luckily expertise runs in the family and Dr Makhani referred me to his son who has a speciality in extractions. What particularly impressed me about Shahid was his overall care and determination not to extract unless absolutely necessary. After two more visits, some treatment, and advice from Shahid we decided that it had to come out. The extraction was perfectly executed and the troublesome curve in the root was removed. His advice on aftercare was very useful and I was back to eating normally within two weeks. I also received a phone call from Mrs Makhani to to check on my progress. Only downside that Swimming was not allowed for two weeks. Great treatment!

I chose Northlight dental because I needed an implant to replace a broken tooth and my husband had had a successful procedure there previously and my own (NHS) dental practice did not have all the necessary equipment in house for the required scans. My daughter was extremely nervous about getting wisdom teeth removed. Right from the enquiry at reception, the staff were friendly and reassuring. She didn't feel a thing and had got over her nerves of the dentist. Omar was a fabulous surgeon. Good value for a positive experience! I have since recommended Appledore to my sister and a friend.

I have had the best care and treatment with Dr Begum. He is so compassionate and worked with me to get the best outcome with my limited resources.

He is very thoughtful and caring, definitely recommend him. Dr. Satinder Dhami gave me my dream of full implant teeth and brought back my confidence to smile without any hesitation. And he managed to balance my uneven gum, very impressive, amazing. And he has very light hands, you can’t feel the weight of his hands when brushing your teeth. If you go here, there is a bell to ring rather than just enter the premises. Why the receptionist didn't just open the door when I was trying to get in I do not know. I went for a consultation to see what the best option was for a missing tooth. You pay before you go. The staff were friendly. The dentist is lovely putting me at ease, explaining what he was doing whilst teaching his staff at the same time. Nice manner about him. He then took the time to show me what options were available to me and how much each would cost. The clinic was state of the art, modern with the latest tech to make the job easier. The view was stunning. I would recommend the experience to others.
