Rathfarnham Dental Practice

Denis graduated in Dentistry from Trinity College Dublin in 1990. In 1991 he completed a year of Vocational training in General Dental Practice at the University of Southampton. He worked in Private Practice in Portsmouth, England from 1991-1996. In 1994 he completed a Diploma in General Dental Practice at the Royal College of Surgeons in London. In 1997 he took over Rathfarnham Dental Practice from Dr George Ernest Kelleher. In 1999 he was appointed a trainer for newly graduated dentists. In 2000 he received a Diploma in Clinical Dentistry from Trinity College Dublin and in 2008 passed part 1 of the Membership in General Dental Surgery examination at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. He has served on Irish Dental Association and Irish Endodontic Society committees. He has a keen interest in all aspects of high quality dental care and regularly attends post-graduate courses both in Ireland and abroad.

Eimear qualified from Trinity College Dublin in 2001 with an Honours Degree in Dental Science. The Dental Council awarded her their Prize for Best Student in Restorative Dentistry and Periodontology. Following a year working in the Dublin Dental School and Hospital, as a Tutor and Clinician, she joined Rathfarnham Dental Practice in 2002. She spent 2008 in the USA and we are delighted to have her back again permanently in the practice. Eimear is committed to post-graduate development. She has presented at the European Association of Paediatric Dentistry and the International Association of Dental Research. She is Honorary Secretary of the Metropolitan Branch of the Irish Dental Association. She enjoys all aspects of delivering high quality dentistry and recently was selected to make sports guards for the Dublin Senior Gaelic football team. 

General Dental Practitioner, BA BDentSc MFD RSCI Ciara qualified from Trinity College Dublin in 2012 and in her class year was recognised as Best Student in Dentistry over 5 years by the Irish Dental Association. As a dental student she devoted a summer volunteering in Tanzania Africa, adopting her calm and caring approach to dental care. Ciara is committed to continual professional development to provide evidence based standard of care for her patients and on graduation actively undertook a foundation training programme in the UK for newly qualified dentists, alongside working in a mixed NHS private practice. In 2013, Ciara returned home to work as clinician and tutor in a Senior House Officer position at the Dublin Dental Hospital. During this time, she gained Membership of the Faculty of Dentistry with The Royal College of Surgeons Ireland. She hopes to bring this ethos of high quality and professional standard of patient care working as a member of the Rathfarnham Dental team and aims to create positive dental experiences for all her patients.
