After completing his Masters degree in maxillofacial surgery at Mangalore, India under Prof. Dr. Krishna Shama Rao , Prof. Dr. Rajendra Prasad and Prof. Dr Krishnamurthy Bonanthaya, Dr. Richardson went on to finish a surgical fellowship offered by the then International Cleft Lip and Palate Foundation, Switzerland. Dr. Richardson is a member of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow. After further training in various leading centers across India and abroad, he started his private practice at his home town Nagercoil, a city very close to the southern most tip of India, Kanyakumari.
