Good Day, Dental Care Seekers, As an American who had received dental care in Thailand for the past 12 years, I found myself in need of finding an open country that could continue with the next phases of an implant that was started in Bangkok. Brazils open border to tourism and ease of entry during the pandemic had me now searching for a caring and well regarded dental provider to continue the process. I was lucky enough to identify Dr Rowan Vilar and his compassionate team of clinicians and assistants. E-Consults from afar were clear, caring and concise prior to making the trip and Dr Vilar takes extra time in producing a comprehensive care plan and even shares information on logistics,  stays, restaurants,  activities etc. which was greatly appreciated. Comprehensive diagnostics that were performed were far superior to American or imaging I've had internationally. The multiple clinic locations Dr Vilar and his colleagues utilize are very clean and comfortable during your care and you are catered to with very good English and compassion during your visits. Assistance by his lovely team for transportation or suggestions on the area are happily facilitated if needed and you are always checked upon to ensure a safe hotel arrival and to ensure post-procedure safety and aftercare issues are remedied. I must additionally highlight the provider's aseptic techniques during your time in the dental chair as all instruments are autoclaved and even sterile drapes are deployed over and above the typical single facial application.  I also appreciated the extra pillows and blankets for comfort during long days in the chair. His cosmetic colleague performs true dental veneer artistry and she should be a must for any patient wishing to also add any aesthetic needs onto their restorative ones.  From a cost perspective, I can only equate to that of a Thai comparison but it is on par with what I am used to paying there. I believe you are discounted if paying cash in Brazil versus a credit card but I'm never comfortable bringing too much cash to any location or hotel safe internationally and may recall it being around a 9% savings with USD. All told, Dr Vilar and his team are caring, professional and competent clinicians within their respective dental subspecialties and I would highly recommend them to any foreigners in search of quality care and outcomes from a dental tourism need.
