What are Veneers?

Veneers are thin shells, also called dental laminates, that are used to cover unsightly teeth and give patients attractive smiles. They are easy to place and can quickly improve the smile of patients with dental cracks and stains, and for patients who have gaps between their teeth.

What is the difference between Veneers and Dental Crowns?

Veneers cover only the front portion of teeth. Crowns cover or replace the entire tooth. Crowns are therefore thicker than veneers. A major portion of the tooth needs to be reduced before placing a crown while only a small portion of the tooth needs to be reduced before placing a veneer. A crown is used for covering damaged teeth and is also placed over a dental implant. A veneer is only used for cosmetic purposes.

What are the best types of Veneers?

The best type of veneer depends on the needs of each individual patient. Some veneers can be easily placed without much tooth preparation. Some veneers are suitable for severely damaged teeth. Some veneers can be easily made in the clinic and patients do not have to wait long for their placement. Some veneers are cheaper than others and are suitable for patients looking for a low cost option.  Your dentist should discuss the options with you so you can make the best choice.

How long before you can eat after getting Veneers?

Dentists recommend that patients eat only soft foods after veneers are placed, and for the first few days, until they get used to them. Veneers are normally bonded firmly to teeth and patients can eat any type of food.

What are Veneers made from?

Veneers are made from ceramic, composite resins or zirconium.

Smile Quest is near to me, so I chose them for dental implants. The clinic was okay (treatment and service). The dentists provided reliable information before we went through with the implant procedure. Overall, I’m happy with the results.

The professionalism and friendliness of the whole team are outstandingAnupa, Australia, 01 12 20

After contemplating if my misaligned teeth should be fixed. I finally decided to give it a crack through Holistic Dental Brunswick under Dr Raksha Baskar's treatment protocol. From the get-go, Dr Baskar has been very informative, friendly and has made this journey enjoyable at the same time. She has an eye for details and perfection in her hands. My only regret why didn't I tried Holistic Dental earlier. I highly recommend Holistic Dental to anyone who will settle only for the best results, excellent services and time efficiency. The professionalism and friendliness of the whole team are outstanding. Especial thanks to Dr Raksha Baskar and Asmita. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I felt comfortable with trusting him to carry out my treatmentCheryl, Wagga Wagga, 16 02 16

My tooth broke off and I needed an implant, my treatment started yesterday. My treatment is not yet complete, though I am very happy with outcome so far and would recommend this dentist to have your implant. I have researched prices and this surgery in comparison to others is good value. Convenience was important to me as there is nobody in the town where I live. I was having to travel to Canberra which is 3 hours away and needed to make three visits. Wodonga is only 1 1/2 hours from where I live which made this trip more convenient for me. I found this Dental Clinic on the internet and had read the reviews then made enquiries. My experience has been excellent and my treatment was well explained which gave me peace of mind. Easy to find with parking available. Clean and professional. I would recommend this dentist to anyone as the price although expensive much more affordable than those I compared. I was shown photos of work that this dentist had previously done and I felt comfortable with trusting him to carry out my treatment.

Veneers
A veneer is a thin layer of material placed over a tooth, either to improve the appearance of a tooth or to protect a damage to a tooths surface. There are two main types, composite or porcelain veneer.
Porcelain Veneers
The thin veneer of material placed over the tooth is made from porcelain in a laboratory from impressions provided by Dr Cameron. Several visits are required.
Composite Veneers
Dr Cameron shapes a composite resin material directly onto the tooth to create a composite veneer. The composite is set by a white light and is completed in one visit. Veneers can close these spaces, lengthen teeth that have been shortened by wear, provide a uniform color, shape, and symmetry, and make the teeth appear straight
