I felt comfortable with trusting him to carry out my treatment

4.5 50 Dental Implants • Paid: $4800

My tooth broke off and I needed an implant, my treatment started yesterday. My treatment is not yet complete, though I am very happy with outcome so far and would recommend this dentist to have your implant. I have researched prices and this surgery in comparison to others is good value. Convenience was important to me as there is nobody in the town where I live. I was having to travel to Canberra which is 3 hours away and needed to make three visits. Wodonga is only 1 1/2 hours from where I live which made this trip more convenient for me.

I found this Dental Clinic on the internet and had read the reviews then made enquiries. My experience has been excellent and my treatment was well explained which gave me peace of mind. Easy to find with parking available. Clean and professional. I would recommend this dentist to anyone as the price although expensive much more affordable than those I compared. I was shown photos of work that this dentist had previously done and I felt comfortable with trusting him to carry out my treatment.

Dental Bridges

Bridges are fixed partial dentures which are used to replace missing teeth

3-Unit Bridge

The teeth adjacent to the missing tooth are crowned and the missing tooth replaced by the bridge which is a porcelain fused to metal false tooth. 3 units refers to the 2 crowns on the adjacent teeth and the porcelain pontac replacing the missing tooth

Maryland Bridge

A resin retained bridge to replace missing a tooth, requires little or no damage to the surrounding teeth.

PFM Bridge

This means a porcelain fused to metal bridge.

The teeth adjacent to the missing tooth are crowned and the missing tooth replaced by the porcelain false tooth fused to metal that bridges the gap.

Dental Crowns

A crown is a dental restoration which completely caps or encircles a tooth or dental implant. Crowns are required when a large cavity threatens the ongoing health of a tooth. They are bonded to the tooth using a dental cement. Preparation of the tooth involves permanently removing much of the tooths original structure, including portions that might still be healthy and structurally sound. All currently available materials for making crowns are not as good as healthy, natural tooth structure. Teeth should only be crowned after evaluation indicates the crown will outweigh the disadvantage of needing to remove some healthy parts of the tooth. This can be a very complex evaluation and requires the experience of a dentist such as Dr Cameron.

PFM Crown

Porcelain fused to metal false tooth. Dr Cameron prepares and contours the tooth before taking dental impressions. The porcelain crown is then made in a laboratory from these impressions. At the final appointment Dr Cameron cements the crown to the contoured tooth

Porcelain Crown

Resin Crown

Resin crowns are made from dental restorative materials called composites. The resin crown is completed by the dentist in the dental surgery. The material is set by a hand held white light.

Zirconia Crown

Dental Implants

A dental implant is a titanium screw device placed within the bone of the jaw. The titanium fuses with the bone and is similar to an actual tooth root. The implant can replace missing teeth.

In the case of a full lower denture Dr Cameron recommends it is supported by 2 implants placed in the lower jaw. The implant supported lower denture reduces the risk of slipping, increases chewing efficacy and improves speech.

Dr Cameron has 23 years of success with dental implants.

Restoration of Implants

Single Implant

Dr Cameron places a titanium screw called a dental implant in the bone of the jaw at the site of the missing tooth. The titanium fuses with the bone. An implant crown is made in a laboratory and screwed or cemented to the dental implant to replace the missing tooth.

Dr Cameron has 23 years of success with dental implants.

Dental Sealant

Dental sealants are a thin coating applied to the deep grooves on the chewing surfaces of back teeth to protect them from tooth decay. It is best if the sealant is applied soon after the teeth have erupted. The process is short and easy and does not require drilling.

Dental X-Ray

Dr Cameron uses radiographs to find cavities, malignant or benign masses, bone loss or hidden dental structures eg wisdom teeth.

Panoramic Dental X-Ray

A scanning x ray of the upper and lower jaws, showing the teeth ear to ear. Dr Cameron will use this x-ray to view the position of wisdom teeth prior to extraction. It is also required prior to orthodontic treatment

Traditional Dental X-Ray

Dr Cameron uses radiographs to find cavities, between teeth, verify old fillings and measure the length of root canals.

Dentist Consultation

Dr Cameron has over 30yrs of experience. During a dental check he thoroughly examines teeth for any dental or gum problems. He will then discuss in detail your options for dental treatment and answer any questions you may have.

Dentures

Conventional dentures are removable. These can be full dentures replacing all the teeth or partial replacing a few teeth.

In the case of a full lower denture Dr Cameron recommends it is supported by 2 implants placed in the lower jaw. The implant supported lower denture reduces the risk of slipping, increases chewing efficacy and improves speech.

Chrome Dentures

Chrome dentures are removable, replacing a few missing teeth. A narrow metal framework is used to secure acrylic teeth which replace the missing teeth. Clasps on existing teeth help stabilize the denture.

Immediate Dentures

An immediate denture is placed in the same appointment the remaining teeth are extracted.

The the upper denture is usually  straightforward, it is stable because there is adequate suction.

It is much more difficult to get adequate suction on the lower jaw. The functioning of the tongue tends to break the suction, and  the ridge shrinks providing less stability.   Placing 2 dental implants to support the lower denture reduces the risk of slipping, increases chewing efficacy and improves speech.

Removable Partial Dentures

Valplast is a flexible partial denture made from resin (pink, nylon material) with teeth embedded in it.It is suitable when replacing 1 or 2 teeth

Endodontist Consultation

The canal is shaped and decontamination. Finally the canal is filled. This may take 2 or 3 visits. The root canal treatment itself is pain free but many patients have tooth ache PRIOR to the inital dental visit which can be painful

Extractions

Extractions are performed for a wide variety of reasons, including tooth decay that has destroyed enough tooth structure to render the tooth non-restorable. Extractions of impacted or problematic wisdom teeth, and extractions of some permanent teeth to make space for orthodontic treatment

Non-Surgical Extractions

Extractions because tooth decay has destroyed enough tooth structure to render the tooth non-restorable.

Veneers

A veneer is a thin layer of material placed over a tooth, either to improve the appearance of a tooth or to protect a damage to a tooths surface. There are two main types, composite or porcelain veneer.

Composite Veneers

Dr Cameron shapes a composite resin material directly onto the tooth to create a composite veneer. The composite is set by a white light and is completed in one visit.

Veneers can close these spaces, lengthen teeth that have been shortened by wear, provide a uniform color, shape, and symmetry, and make the teeth appear straight

Porcelain Veneers

The thin veneer of material placed over the tooth is made from porcelain in a laboratory from impressions provided by Dr Cameron. Several visits are required.
